About the team:
You’ll join our Marketplace team, the group behind one of Goodnotes’ core strengths: helping people create and personalise beautiful notes with handwriting, white boarding, and typing. The team is building the leading digital stationery marketplace, designing the end-to-end experience of how users discover, purchase, and use templates, planners, and other stationery products. We continually innovate on both the product and platform to make note-taking more inspiring and seamless.
About the role:
This is a product design role where you’ll shape the end-to-end marketplace experience. You’ll design user flows, interfaces, and systems that help millions of people discover, purchase, and use digital stationery. Your work will span marketplace journeys, content management tools, and experiments that improve usability and business outcomes. Strong visual craft is a plus, your core responsibility will be creating thoughtful product experiences that are clear, cohesive, and impactful. By collaborating closely with cross functional partners and designers in the team, you will develop innovative products and run experiments that drive growth and optimise user experiences.
This is the role for you, if you’re excited to work on the things listed below:
Design user flows and interfaces that improve how people discover, browse, and use digital stationery
Work cross functionally to drive user adoption of a revenue generating arm of the business with design first approach
Design and refine our content management system (CMS) to support internal operations and improve efficiency
Collaborate with product, engineering, and research to shape solutions that balance user needs, usability, and business goals
Iterate quickly based on user insights and data, while keeping quality and cohesion high
Contributing to the evolution of a cohesive design system that maintains high-quality visuals and usability standards.
The skills you will need to be successful in the above:
3–5 years of product design experience in consumer software
A strong portfolio demonstrating visual and interaction design skills across web or mobile
Experience designing end-to-end flows from research to delivery
Understanding of interaction design principles and ability to craft delightful user experiences
Strong communication skills to present your work and explain design decisions clearly
What else would help you, but is not required:
Experience working on marketplaces, eCommerce, or content-driven products
Familiarity with usability testing and experimentation
Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate with engineers
Motion/animation skills to enhance interactivity
Experience in startups or fast-paced environments

The interview process:

A one hour call with our Head of Design. You’ll be expected to walk through your portfolio and give an overview of your experience as a designer during this call.
A one hour portfolio review with our design team and a product or engineering partner
A 45 minute call with our Marketplace Team Lead
A 1.5 hour whiteboard session with our design team where we co-ideate and see how we can work together.
