Job Overview:

At Coursera, our Marketing and Communications team drives brand development, product marketing, PR, and acquisition and retention marketing for learners, enterprises, and university partners. The team is structured into four key areas: Consumer Marketing, Degree Marketing, Enterprise Marketing, and PR & Communications. Marketers play a critical role in accelerating the global growth and market share of both our Consumer and Enterprise businesses through innovative programs that attract, retain, and expand relationships across all segments.

As the Senior Partner Marketing Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the Merchandising Team, collaborating with industry and university partners on a global scale to build and execute high-impact marketing campaigns for their content on Coursera. You will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships with key strategic partners, building capabilities and resources for scalable partner marketing enablement, and driving business growth through high-impact co-marketing campaigns, partner referrals, and Market Development Funds (MDF). The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and partner management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partner Management: Develop and manage relationships with key strategic industry partners to foster collaboration and align marketing strategies; act as the primary point of contact for strategic partner marketing engagement.

  • Go-to-Market Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive co-marketing plans to support business goals in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners, from brief development to execution and reporting.

  • Marketing Enablement: Enable internal teams and external partners by providing the necessary tools, resources, and guidance to execute effective partner marketing campaigns.

  • Partner Marketing: Manage partner market development funds and partner channel marketing investments to support joint marketing efforts and maximize ROI; analyze and report on results to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Marketing Agreements: Manage partner marketing agreements to ensure alignment with Coursera’s strategic goals and mutual business objectives.

  • Performance Analysis: Analyze, report, and action on campaign and partner performance insights, translate complex data into compelling narratives that inform and improve marketing strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience in partner marketing or a related role.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing strategic partner relationships and driving joint marketing initiatives.

  • Proven success in developing and executing integrated go-to-market plans that achieve measurable business results, with the ability to think strategically while executing tactically.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and influence at all organizational levels.

  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication skills.

  • Track record of developing and implementing scalable, repeatable marketing processes.

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to act decisively, take initiative, and move projects forward efficiently while bringing people along the journey.

  • Channel marketing expertise with experience creating tailored programs that drive partner success.

Compensation:

Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The targeted hiring base salary range for this role is between $111,200 and $139,000 for all Canada candidates. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
