Senior Marketer - Database Nurturing

We're looking for a senior marketer to lead our database automation programs and transform how we nurture and convert our existing database of contacts into sales-ready opportunities.
This role is critical for HubSpot's growth engine. You'll own automation programs that reach nearly 1 million contacts per month—primarily small and medium-sized businesses that turn to HubSpot for resources and best practices. In an era of AI disruption, better nurturing and converting this existing database represents a massive untapped opportunity, with many of these touchpoints serving as a contact's first meaningful interaction with HubSpot.

The role involves reimagining what's possible with database automation through rigorous experimentation, creative program development, and data-driven optimization of our existing nurturing foundation. AI will be central to your success—from personalizing messaging at scale to enriching contact data and testing which content drives engagement.
In this role, you would own the strategy, execution, and reporting for programs that include:
Building and optimizing nurturing programs via automated workflows for our entire lead and free user database, and transforming them into active, engaged prospects
Developing sophisticated segmentation strategies to deliver highly relevant, personalized experiences across our existing database
Leveraging AI for data enrichment, content recommendations, and message personalization to maximize engagement and conversion rates
Partnering with content teams to develop comprehensive nurturing strategies that support new product launches and offerings
Continuously experimenting with new formats, timing, content approaches, and automation triggers to maximize engagement and conversion rates
We are looking for someone who:

Is highly data-driven with the ability to identify trends, uncover insights, and translate findings into actionable program improvements

Excels at managing complexity – coordinating multiple programs, audiences, and experiments simultaneously

You should have the following skills or experiences:
Strong experience in email marketing and marketing automation with proven results that go beyond traditional email engagement
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build programs from the ground up
Experience leveraging AI for personalization or data enrichment
Experimental mindset with experience designing, running, and analyzing growth-focused experiments
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build programs from the ground up
Data analysis skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets
Understanding of B2B SaaS customer journeys and sales processes
Strong project management and collaboration skills
Nice to have:
Experience working with large-scale database marketing programs
Experience with HubSpot or similar marketing automation platforms
Familiarity with AI-powered marketing tools
Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
