Senior Manager - Marketing Operations
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and process-oriented Senior Manager of Marketing Operations to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and impact of our marketing organization. This role will manage critical systems, processes, and technology that power our marketing efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enabling data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with a passion for operational excellence, a strong understanding of marketing technology, and a proven ability to optimize performance in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Technology & Systems
Manage key components of the marketing technology stack, including selection, implementation, and optimization of marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and attribution tools.
Oversee the development and maintenance of a custom marketing control plane to consolidate tools, simplify workflows, and enable agnostic integrations across platforms.
Ensure seamless integration of the Apollo marketing database with go-to-market tools, maintaining data accuracy, cleanliness, and compliance.
Support team adoption of marketing tools through training and documentation to maximize utilization and ROI.
Process Optimization & Scalability
Design and implement standardized processes for campaign execution, lead management, audience targeting, and operational intake to enhance efficiency and consistency.
Develop workflows and automation, leveraging the marketing control plane, to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
Collaborate with sales and revenue operations to align marketing processes, including lead handoffs and segmentation for outbound efforts based on customer lifecycle stages.
Drive operational excellence by implementing QA processes to ensure high-quality execution of campaigns, forms, and data management.
Performance Measurement & Reporting
Partner with Analytics & Intelligence to establish KPIs and dashboards for monitoring marketing performance, providing actionable insights to leadership.
Oversee data governance for the Apollo marketing database, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for go-to-market tools.
Support in-depth analyses of campaign effectiveness and ROI, contributing to senior leadership reporting.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor and guide a team of marketing operations professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and quality execution.
Act as a key partner to marketing, sales, and revenue leadership to align operations with broader business goals.
Manage vendor relationships and budgets for marketing tools and services.
Support global campaign and demand generation efforts, including nurture consulting and management of the global communication preference center for opt-in/opt-out preferences.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in marketing operations or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position.
Strong expertise in marketing technology platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce) and data integration.
Experience managing and maintaining marketing databases, ensuring integration with go-to-market tools and compliance with data regulations.
Proven ability to build scalable processes in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Solid analytical skills with experience in performance reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, revenue operations, and analytics teams.
Experience with QA processes and operational excellence in marketing execution.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, marketing automation certifications) a plus.
The listed Pay Range reflects base salary range, except for sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ('OTE') range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commission/sales bonus targets and annual base salary for the role. This pay range may be inclusive of several career levels at Apollo and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
