The Opportunity

This position is a remote opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives.   As a global leader in diabetes care, Abbott is constantly working to deliver the highest quality products and unwavering support to our customers.  Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As a Senior Manager, Market Access Analytics, you will support advanced analytics for the Market Access, Forecasting, Finance, and Commercial Leadership Teams. This position will lead efforts in the development, integration, and execution of data sets and dashboards for these key stakeholders. They will work cross-functionally with Forecasting, Commercial Data, Finance, Marketing, and Contracting teams to develop actionable insights and business KPIs. He/she will present analyses and recommendations concerning business strategy to Senior Commercial Leadership and support ad-hoc analytics for Executives. 

What You’ll Do

  • Market Access Data & Insights

    • Lead the development of dashboards to monitor and assess market access performance across customer segments.

    • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in payer, PBM, and provider data.

    • Track and evaluate key KPIs for market access and reimbursement functions.

    • Generate actionable insights to optimize patient access, payer negotiations, and formulary positioning.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide analytics support for contract performance, access barriers, and payer trends.

  • Forecasting Analytics & Insights

    • Monitor payer and rebate trends to provide valuable insights for the Forecasting Team.

    • Create and maintain forecasting KPIs and generate reports to ensure forecast accuracy.

    • Design and develop executive dashboards that highlight key forecasting insights and outcomes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with internal stakeholders, including Market Access, Commercial Data, and Forecast teams, to deliver comprehensive analytics strategies.

    • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

    • Work closely with field-based teams to deliver insights to drive pull-through.

    • Contribute to the team’s performance, actively collaborate within and beyond the team to design and ensure buy-in around solutions.

Experience You’ll Bring

Required

  • Bachelors Degree In a Related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Minimum 9 years of related work experience.

  • Experience using big data is required, preferably with prescription, medical claims and/or longitudinal patient-level data.

Preferred

  • MBA, Masters is preferred

  • 5+ years analytical experience desired, preferably in the healthcare industry in a market science or business analytics role.

  • Proficiency in data preparation, analysis, and visualization tools (SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and time-management skills.

  • Familiarity with U.S. market access dynamics, within the Diabetes space preferred.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
