Senior Manager - Corporate Finance
About the Role
As Caribou’s Corporate Finance Senior Manager, you will be a pivotal, highly visible leader within Caribou’s Finance team, directly shaping our short and long term strategic financial direction. This role sits at the critical intersection of Finance, Strategy and Operations, spearheading corporate financial planning, M&A initiatives and investor relations. Reporting directly to Caribou’s Chief Financial Officer, you will drive both strategic planning, our internal / external financial narrative and key business execution in close collaboration with our senior leadership team.
In this role, you will…
Drive the development and execution of multi-year financial plans and agile rolling forecasts directly influencing business priorities and optimizing enterprise-wide capital allocation to fuel profitable growth and sustainable value creation.
Own and structure highly sophisticated financial models for evaluating greenfield initiatives, optimizing core offerings and leading complex full spectrum M&A transactions.
Serve as a key strategic advisor by developing a deep understanding of market dynamics, the competitive landscape and macroeconomic trends to proactively identify opportunities to maximize enterprise valuation.
Collaborate extensively with Caribou’s senior leadership team to strategically manage on and off balance sheet capital capacity requirements to accelerate growth and diversify borrower credit score distribution.
Lead the preparation and delivery of Board, investor and company presentations, providing concise, high quality analysis and strategic actionable insights.
Actively identify and assess financial risks, developing and implementing robust mitigation strategies while simultaneously capitalizing on strategic financial opportunities to drive value creation.
Champion continuous improvement and innovation across financial analysis, reporting and forecasting leveraging best-in-class methodologies and technology.
Translate complex financial and quantitative analysis into clear, compelling visualizations and actionable insights for diverse audiences to enable efficient and informed decision making.
Partner seamlessly with Accounting to anchor to “actuals” interpreting and surfacing underlying financial trends to achieve desired financial targets.
This role can be based out of our Caribou office in Denver, CO. Alternatively, this role may work remotely from a state where Caribou operates with a preference for the Chicago, IL, Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA markets.* This role requires attendance at occasional in-person team meetings.

At least 6 years of progressive Finance experience in high growth technology companies, investment banking, private equity, or a corporate finance / strategy role within a dynamic, fast paced industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related quantitative field.
MBA from a top-tier program and / or CFA designation highly preferred.
Demonstrated mastery of financial statements, corporate finance theory and valuation methodologies.
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, with a proactive, solution oriented approach to complex financial challenges and an unwavering attention to detail.
A critical and proactive thinker with superb written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex financial insights and making sound, data supported recommendations across all levels of an organization and external stakeholders.
Strong data visualization skills and advanced proficiency with financial reporting tools (e.g. Looker, Bigquery, NetSuite, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office).
Unmatched sense of ownership, strong strategic acumen and a continuous improvement mindset with a demonstrated ability to independently drive complex projects to successful completion.
Exceptionally high emotional intelligence enabling influential leadership and effective collaboration across internal and external partners.
