The Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager (I) at Kickstarter will play a critical role in the development and execution of our lifecycle marketing communication program across email, text/SMS, push notifications, in-app, and onsite messaging. You will be responsible for the one-to-one messaging program throughout the backer and creator experience, with the goal of driving retention, loyalty and growth. You will bring an innovative, curious and creative spirit to help connect backers to projects they’ll love and strive to continually enhance the customer experience through segmentation/personalization and developing and executing a robust testing and optimization cycle. This role collaborates closely with Product, Outreach, Insights, and Design to develop and execute strategies across our lifecycle marketing channels.

Qualifications:

  • Data-driven marketer with experience in experimentation and optimization through email, sms, app, and web.

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing technology platforms/CRM and a proven track record in driving customer retention and growth.

  • Demonstrated ability to exceed goals and drive progressive business results via 1-to-1 communications and lifecycle marketing programs.

  • Strong knowledge of the 1-to-1 communication landscape and best practices, including hands-on experience managing customer communications from end-to-end, including planning, configuration, Q/A, deployment, reporting and optimizations.

  • Experience working in a global company that translates content across various markets

  • Experience in developing strategies and complex frameworks for segmentation at scale and leveraging automation to personalize at scale.

  • Command of best practices for customer privacy as well as laws in the lifecycle marketing and 1-to-1 communication space, including CAN-SPAM laws and all regulations including CCPA compliance.

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to proactively challenge and change to maximize output.

  • Ability to handle multiple timelines and calendars without missing a beat.

Essential functions/job duties:

  • Lead and collaborate on the strategy & execution of lifecycle marketing and 1-to-1 communication programs including email, text/SMS, app and web to drive growth and channel effectiveness while maintaining a focus on customer experience and compliance.

  • Own the full execution of a lifecycle campaign, including ideation, inclusive collaboration, brief/planning, partnering with brand on copy/assets, build (primarily in Braze), QA, testing, optimization, and tracking & sharing results.

  • Develop and execute robust segmentation plans for your channels, including mapping and building journeys, launching & measuring relevant messaging, and testing segmentation and personalization across channels.

  • Build robust testing roadmap not only within individual channels but also cross-channel to measure impact at the customer level, utilizing best practices, campaign analysis tools, and A/B and multivariate testing to continually improve campaign performance.

  • Champion lifecycle marketing throughout the organization, consistently communicating results and learnings to cross-team stakeholders.

  • Plan strategies that support company, team and collaborator objectives. Effectively manage this work through a variety of work streams.

  • Create roadmaps, workflows and processes to achieve goals and initiatives by working cross-functionally throughout the organization.

  • Build relationships and collaborate effectively with partner teams across the organization (Insights, Product, Engineering, Outreach, Product Marketing and Brand). 

  • Work directly with product and engineering to scope, prioritize and integrate tools that increase our impact.

$110,000 - $130,000 a year The salary range posted applies to all candidates based in the United States
