At HubSpot, we’re on a mission to help millions of organizations grow better—and that starts with helping our own people do the same. On the Learning & Talent Development (L&TD) team, we design learning experiences that are scalable, human-centered, and deeply tied to our HEART values: Humility, Empathy, Adaptability, Remarkableness, and Transparency.

We’re looking for a Senior Learning Experience Designer (LXD) who is both tech-savvy and creative—someone who designs not just content, but systems for growth. This is not a traditional instructional design role with straightforward process adherence. You’ll play a key part in shaping the future of learning at HubSpot, bringing a sharp product mindset, deep expertise in learning, and an innovative approach to everything from talent management enablement to career development and leadership programming.

This role is for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, technology, and business impact—and who brings a growth mindset and appetite for continuous learning to evolve how people grow at work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create learning experiences that help HubSpotters grow in their roles and careers—focusing on employee development and performance, all grounded in proven learning science and real-world needs.

  • Lead the design and delivery of scalable, innovative learning solutions—spanning digital learning, live facilitation, async content, toolkits, AI, and other self-serve platforms.

  • Use and experiment with AI tools to speed up design cycles, personalize content, and introduce intelligent automation into learning workflows and experiences.

  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex problems into smart, effective learning interventions.

  • Bring a product-thinking lens to your work, iterating quickly and keeping learner experience, usability, and relevance at the forefront.

  • Use your sharp visual and multimedia skills to enhance learning experiences (e.g., motion, storytelling, short-form content), but always in service of the right modality for the goal.

  • Measure and improve learning effectiveness, using qualitative and quantitative feedback to refine experiences over time.

  • Contribute to our team’s evolving tech stack and knowledge-sharing practices—especially around how L&TD can lead in leveraging emerging technologies.

You Might Be a Fit If:

  • You have 7+ years of experience in learning experience design, instructional design, or corporate L&D, with strong examples of your work driving measurable impact.

  • You have a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates your ability to design effective, engaging learning experiences. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

  • You’re technically fluent—not just in tools like Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma, but also in understanding how to leverage automation, AI, and modern web-based tools to build smarter systems and content.

  • You have a strong understanding of Talent Management and how learning ties into performance, career mobility, and manager development.

  • You bring a strategic, systems-oriented mindset to your work—seeing beyond one course or one moment to the broader employee experience.

  • You’ve built effective, engaging learning programs in fast-paced environments, and you’re as comfortable building from scratch as you are improving what exists.

  • You have a bias for action and a high bar for quality. You balance shipping iteratively with thoughtful design.

  • You’re comfortable using data to guide decisions—and confident interpreting both learning analytics and qualitative insights.

  • You’re a collaborative partner with strong communication skills and the ability to influence without authority.

  • You’re curious, experimental, and excited about the role AI and tech can play in transforming the way people learn and grow.

Why This Role:

  • You’ll help shape the systems and experiences that fuel performance, career development, and leadership at HubSpot.

  • You’ll be part of a mission-driven, values-aligned team that prioritizes clarity, belonging, and continuous learning.

  • You’ll have meaningful autonomy and a clear runway to lead innovative work, especially in how we adopt and scale new technologies.

  • You’ll grow alongside a team that genuinely supports each other—and believes in doing great work without taking ourselves too seriously.
