Senior Java Back end Developer

Blanc Labs is looking for a Senior Java Back-End Developer with experience in banking/financial institutions—especially in money transfers/payments, ideally involving Central 1 or Interac. Familiarity with ISO 20022 (Message Exchange standards for payment) is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with various Java based frameworks to support existing and new applications

• Deliver Java requirements for on going development of Web App features and API's

• Collaborate and participate in a team environment

• Assist and contribute to our in house developer best practices

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

• Working experience in Java, good command of object oriented principles

• Ability to quickly pick up and learn new languages and frameworks

• Experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot

• Microservices

• RESTful/SOAP APIs

• API lifecycle

• Experience with DB SQL Server

• Azure API Management, Azure Event Hub

• Experience with synchronous/asynchronous processing

• Must have excellent problem solving skills and love technical challenges

• BS in Computer Science or related field (experience in lieu of degree considered)

• Experience in Agile style development including Sprint planning and Estimation

• English advance
