LabCorp is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager, PM COE in the Burlington, NC area to lead tasks associated with interface project implementations between LabCorp and Client LIS software in support of electronic lab orders and results. This position can also potentially be Remote based.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction to Hospital & Health System EDI Project LIS interface implementations

  • Creates project plans, identifies and secures resources and implements projects.

  • ​Manages project milestones and resources and is accountable for successful project delivery.

  • Coordinates activities and ensures effective communication to stakeholders and within project team.

  • Tracks project schedules, reports on progress and takes corrective action as needed.

  • Manage, prioritize, and escalate as needed all tasks and risk mitigation associated with complex Health System/Client interface project implementations.

  • Contribute to reducing project implementation turnaround time.

  • Maintain effective project documentation in SBM workflow software.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with ability to establish and maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with all Employee levels.

  • Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.

  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations.

  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and problem resolution.

  • Previous experience implementing LIS Applications within an enterprise environment.

  • Strong project management experience in all phases of interface implementation -- Scope & Workflow, Connectivity, Build, Test, Validation, Cutover, Post Live Support

  • Solid risk management skill including identification, escalation, and facilitation of mitigation/creative solutions.

  • Excellent leadership and problem solving skills with ability to influence and work effectively with internal and external project stakeholders

  • Successful interaction/communication with software vendors engaged in implementations

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools: MS Teams, OneNote, MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote

  • 7-10 years' experience in a Healthcare IT environment, specifically EMR/LIS focused

Requirements:

  • License/Certification/Education:  B.S. Degree or equivalent, PMP Certification desired

  • 7-10 years' project management experience, preferably in a Healthcare IT environment.

  • Strong project management experience in all phases of interface implementation -- Scope & Workflow, Connectivity, Build, Test, Validation.

  • Solid risk management skill including identification, escalation, and facilitation of mitigation/creative solutions.

  • Excellent leadership and problem solving skills with ability to influence and work effectively with internal and external project stakeholders

  • Strong ability to relate well professionally with people, facilitate group interactions, and mediate conflict as needed

  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, OneNote

Pay Range: $90K/yr to $120K/yr

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
