As Loka’s Senior HR Specialist you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a positive employee experience and supporting managers and employees across the organization. You will act as a trusted advisor on HR-related matters at our Macedonia office, handle employee relations and drive key HR initiatives including performance management, compliance and employee engagement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence Loka’s workplace culture, develop and implement impactful HR strategies and support the growth of a global, dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for managers and employees, addressing and resolving HR-related inquiries and issues.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on HR matters, aligning with best practices and company policies.

  • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews and development planning.

  • Handle employee-relations matters, conducting investigations and resolving issues in a fair, consistent and timely manner.

  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations while assisting in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.

  • Assist in processing salary changes and promotion requests, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance and timely communication with stakeholders.

  • Oversee new-hire orientations, coordinate ongoing employee training and development programs, and manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and identifying insights for organizational improvement.

  • Manage the HRIS, ensuring employee data is accurate, up-to-date, and handled with confidentiality.

  • Lead and participate in global HR projects and initiatives to enhance HR service delivery and the employee experience.

  • Develop and implement global strategies to enhance employee retention and job satisfaction while supporting the creation and execution of employee recognition and rewards programs.

  • Conduct regular check-ins and stay interviews to understand employee needs and concerns.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through targeted initiatives and programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

  • At least four years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, performance management and policy implementation

  • Strong knowledge of local Macedonian employment laws and regulations across regions (experience in Europe and/or Latin America is a plus)

  • Proficiency in managing HRIS systems and handling confidential employee data

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with employees and managers at all levels

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills

  • Experience designing and delivering training and development programs

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment

  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture

  • Excellent English: As a global team we work entirely in English for meetings, customer calls and business communications
