About the team
We’re the Product Insights Enablement group — or PIE for short — and we’re on a mission to unlock smarter, faster product development at Canva. PIE owns 'Pilot,' our internal platform that brings together our in-house experimentation tooling, feature flags, metrics, and, most recently, a feature catalogue: a canonical view of every feature in Canva, with out-of-the-box metrics for product teams.
We’ve built a strong foundation of data and measurement over the years, but we’re at a point now where we’re not just here to deliver more data — we're here to unleash the next era of Canva’s product evolution. We’re building novel capabilities that combine qualitative and quantitative insights, lean into the power of AI, and empower teams to make more confident, impactful product decisions. We’re a fast-growing group of FE/BE engineers, PMs, designers and data scientists/analytics engineers. And we’re excited to open up this role to help accelerate us towards this vision, and to co-create it.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer who’s passionate about building high-quality internal tools that directly shape product strategy. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving meaningful problems through thoughtful UX, clean architecture, and tight collaboration.
You'll help define and shape what we build by collaborating early and often with stakeholders—workshopping ideas, gathering requirements, and converting complexity into clarity. You’ll work closely with platform engineers, analysts, and product teams to design and develop internal-facing tools that visualise the health and quality of product features.
While your users are internal Canvanauts, your work will power the strategic decisions that influence millions of users worldwide. This isn’t just building dashboards—you’ll help create a foundational platform that guides product investment across Canva.
What's in it for you?
Achieving our crazy big goals motivates us to work hard - and we do - but you'll experience lots of moments of magic, connectivity and fun woven throughout life at Canva, too. We also offer a stack of benefits to set you up for every success in and outside of work.
Here's a taste of what's on offer:
Equity packages - we want our success to be yours too
Inclusive parental leave policy that supports all parents & carers
An annual Vibe & Thrive allowance to support your wellbeing, social connection, office setup & more
Flexible leave options that empower you to be a force for good, take time to recharge and supports you personally
Check out lifeatcanva.com for more info.
Other stuff to know
We make hiring decisions based on your experience, skills and passion, as well as how you can enhance Canva and our culture. When you apply, please tell us the pronouns you use and any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process.
Please note that interviews are conducted virtually.
