About the job
Twilio is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Product Finance team. This will be a highly visible role supporting Twilio’s Messaging channel, including partnering with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights, support strategic decision-making, and drive financial performance. This role will work cross-functionally with R&D business partners, central Finance teams and Accounting.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Partner with the Product leadership teams to analyze complex business decisions, provide sound financial perspectives and actionable insights.
Lead strategic financial planning processes from start to finish for the Messaging business. This includes managing monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term forecasts.
Build, maintain, and improve financial models to analyze product performance, evaluate new initiatives, and support investment decisions.
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional partners in a clear and compelling manner.
Take ownership of month-end close activities, including preparing COGS and OPEX accruals, partnering with Accounting to ensure accurate COGS and OPEX recognition, and performing detailed variance analysis.
Partner with analytics team to automate reporting processes

*Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of finance experience, ideally in a high growth Technology or Software/SaaS environment.
Advanced financial analysis and modeling skills, with experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
Comfortable working with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and think strategically
Intense curiosity about understanding key drivers of a multi-faceted business.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Cross-functional relationships and effective communication to non-financial audiences are critical to make an impact.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
Desired:
Experience working cross functionally with partners in R&D organizations
Experience with Anaplan, Oracle, Tableau a plus
Location
This role will be remote, and based in Canada.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.

Based in British Columbia. : $81,000 CAD - $101,200 CAD
