Overview

This role is focused on driving quality performance across contracted medical practices and internal provider teams, with an emphasis on Medicare and Medicaid quality programs such as Stars and HEDIS. The position blends data analysis, strategy development, provider support, and education to ensure high-quality care delivery, optimal patient outcomes, and maximized revenue.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for contracted medical practices and internal providers to achieve high performance in quality, Stars and HEDIS performance.

  • Interpret data/performance results for Senior Leadership

  • Stay abreast of changes in CMS updates, cut points and rules regarding quality measures for Medicare and Medicaid

  • Support internal staff training and education programs regarding Stars/HEDIS requirements for gap closure.

  • Manage the end-to-end strategy and process for closure of all pertinent quality gaps for family members

  • Monitor, interpret, and track HEDIS and other quality performance measures, at a practice, market and national level, to optimize care outcomes and maximize revenue. Identify performance gaps from report data and guide care teams towards solutions.

  • Develop strategies for closing quality gaps based on month over month performance.

  • Support & educate the Practice Facilitation team, to ensure medical practices are addressing quality gaps for their membership.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with a record of strong academic achievement.

  • Possesses a solid knowledge of internal enterprise-wide contractual requirements including, Medicaid and Medicare, and payor regarding Stars/HEDIS.

  • Possess strong knowledge base and 5+ years’ experience with Value Based Care Models.

  • 5+ years’ experience in Stars/HEDIS work with both Medicare and Medicaid contracts.

The working environment and physical requirements of the job include:

In-office work is performed indoors in a traditional office setting with air conditioning, artificial light, and an open workspace.

In this position you will need to communicate with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers in person and over devices, sometimes with people who are agitated. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Must be able to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Lifting of up to 10 lbs. occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines. Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business.
