Senior Director - Product Marketing
We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative Senior Director of Product Marketing to elevate how Muck Rack positions its platform, educates the market, and equips internal teams. This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to shape the way we launch, message, and differentiate in a rapidly evolving category.
Your mission will be to expand product adoption, refine positioning for diverse audiences, and guide our evolution. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Product, Revenue, Enablement, and Communications to drive clarity, cohesion, and effectiveness across the customer journey.
What you’ll do:
Own and evolve Muck Rack’s global product story across industries, personas, geographies and segments
Define competitive positioning through ongoing market research, customer insights regular analysis of competitor moves and buyer behavior
Partner closely with product leadership to influence roadmap prioritization using marketing and customer data to bring the voice of the customer, insights from win/loss analysis and usage data to ensure product strategy aligns with market demands
Ensure product marketing insights are foundational to the business case for roadmap investments by partnering closely with Engineering and go-to-market leadership to drive market input in early-stage product development
Lead new feature launches from end-to-end with cross-functional stakeholders by building messaging, revenue team materials, and enablement content
Oversee the development of battle cards and strategic content to help sales, success, and account management teams win in competitive situations
Inform pricing and packaging strategy by partnering with product, sales, and revenue operations to analyze competitor pricing models, customer segmentation, and perceived value to recommend pricing strategies aligned with market expectations
Lead and inspire a high-performing team by setting clear priorities, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and developing team members through coaching, feedback, and professional growth opportunities
How success will be measured in this role:
Increased usage and effectiveness of enablement and materials across Sales and Customer Success teams
Higher product and feature adoption within key customer segments, contributing to stronger GRR through reduced churn and improved customer satisfaction
Growth in NRR by driving usage, upsell, and and deeper product engagement
Clear alignment on positioning and customer personas across Product, Marketing and GTM

10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing, with a strong preference for candidates who have a background in PR/Communications
Proven success working closely with large revenue orgs and understanding their workflows and mindsets
Strong communicator and storyteller who can map product functionality to business value
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a high-performing product marketing team
A strong balance of strategic thinking and execution—you can set the vision and get into the details to make it happen
Experience launching complex products or major features in a fast-paced environment
Executive presence and the ability to confidently present to senior leadership and represent the team across the organization
A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders in Product, Sales, Enablement, and Comms
Confident and organized, with the ability to manage complex, fast-moving initiatives
Curious and analytical, always testing assumptions, gathering insight, and iterating on strategy

Salary
In the US, the base salary for this role is between $175,000 and $200,000+, depending on skills and experience. Total compensation for this role consists of base salary, an annual bonus plan, and equity.
We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location. For all other countries, we have competitive pay bands based on market standards.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted.
