Senior Director of Information Security
Position Overview
Netwrix is seeking a Senior Director of Information Security to lead, scale, and mature our global security program as we continue to expand. This role requires a leader who can operate strategically while also getting hands-on when needed. The ideal candidate has the initiative, resilience, and technical depth to address today’s challenges while shaping the long-term security vision for the company.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define, own, and execute the global information security strategy aligned with Netwrix’s business goals and customer commitments.
Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board on security risk, threat landscape, and compliance.
Security Operations & Monitoring
Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise security monitoring solutions (e.g., SIEM, SOAR).
Ensure robust detection, analysis, and response capabilities that protect both internal operations and customer-facing services.
Cloud & Hybrid Security
Lead security strategy for cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, ensuring SaaS and on-premises solutions are secure, scalable, and resilient.
Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into product design and operations, driving secure-by-default practices.
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Own IAM strategy and execution, including identity lifecycle, credentialing, SSO, MFA, and privileged access.
Partner with Product Engineering and Product Management to ensure secure, seamless access experiences for customers and employees.
Vulnerability Management
Direct vulnerability management programs across infrastructure, applications, and products.
Ensure timely remediation and clear reporting of security posture to executives and customers.
Incident Response & Resilience
Lead the global incident response program, including playbooks, readiness exercises, and cross-functional coordination.
Own business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) planning and testing, ensuring organizational resilience and customer confidence.
Required Qualifications
Leadership & Strategy – 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
Security Monitoring Solutions – Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-wide monitoring solutions (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, log management) with proven ability to detect and respond to threats in complex environments.
Cloud Security – Deep expertise securing cloud and hybrid cloud architectures across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.), including cloud-native controls, workload protection, and container/Kubernetes security.
Identity and Access Management (IAM) – Hands-on experience with enterprise IAM programs, including identity lifecycle management, credentialing, SSO, MFA, privileged access management, and integration with product deployments.
Incident Response – Proven track record leading cross-functional incident response efforts, including preparation, detection, containment, eradication, and recovery, as well as running post-incident reviews and tabletop exercises.
Vulnerability Management – Strong experience building and leading vulnerability management programs for infrastructure, applications, and products, including risk-based prioritization, remediation workflows, and executive reporting.
Collaboration & Communication – Excellent ability to partner with executive leadership, customers, engineers, and product teams, translating complex security challenges into clear, actionable guidance.
Compliance Knowledge – Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and related standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior leadership experience in a SaaS or cybersecurity product company.
Background in software development, systems engineering, or cloud architecture.
Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CISA.
Experience leading security programs during periods of rapid growth, transformation, or M&A activity.
