Senior DevOps Manager
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced CloudOps Manager to lead our global cloud infrastructure operations at Degreed. In this role, you’ll oversee cloud environments across Azure and GCP, ensuring our systems are highly available, scalable, and secure. You’ll lead a team of talented CloudOps engineers, drive automation initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally to support our evolving business needs.

Key Skills
7+ years of experience in cloud operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
Deep expertise in Azure and GCP, with multi-cloud experience considered a plus
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Splunk
Proven ability to implement and optimize incident detection, response, and resolution
Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
Skilled in mentoring and leading high-performing technical teams
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash
Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator are a plus
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the CloudOps engineering team, fostering a culture of reliability, growth, and accountability
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across Azure and GCP to ensure high availability and scalability
Collaborate with development, engineering, and customer success teams to align cloud operations with business goals
Implement and refine automated monitoring, alerting, and incident response workflows
Oversee change management processes, ensuring minimal disruptions during infrastructure updates
Drive automation initiatives across deployment pipelines, monitoring systems, and operational tasks
Ensure adherence to cloud security standards and data governance policies
Monitor and publish key performance metrics to provide visibility into team performance and system reliability
Continuously improve operational processes to enhance system resilience and customer satisfaction
Compensation
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The total pay range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000 Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
