What you'll do:

💡 Owning the Data Ecosystem:

- Defining data flows, i.e., which parts of the organization generate data, which require data to function, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transition,

- Defining the data architecture framework and standards, including modeling, metadata, and security, for the data ecosystem,

- Creating and maintaining API integrations with data-generating systems (i.e., CRM tools and marketing systems),

- Ensuring data security, compliance, and privacy in alignment with industry best practices and regulations,

- Being responsible for the quality of the data integrations and the data warehouse accessibility and uptime.

💡 Leading the business-driven solution design:

- Designing and developing data models and architecture that meet current and future business needs,

- Translating business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, and transformations.

As one of your first challenges, you’ll be the key team member leading migration to a cloud solution. In order to be successful in this project, you’ll have to:

💡 Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing data infrastructure,

💡 Develop a strategic roadmap for migrating our data to a cloud solution,

💡 Lead the end-to-end data migration process, ensuring a seamless transition,

💡 Implement best practices for data transformation, validation, and synchronization during the migration,

💡Monitor and optimize data performance in the new environment.

Ideally, you'll bring with you:

• 5+ years of work experience in a data engineering role

• Proficiency in data modeling, data integration, ETL processes, and data migration

• Proficient understanding of Data Architecture concepts, e.g., Data Lakes, Data Hubs, Data Warehousing   

• Experience working with Clouds (preferably Google Cloud, Azure, AWS)

• Self-starter mindset with a high degree of ownership and a data-driven approach

• Communicative English

It'll be awesome if you have:

• Practical experience migrating PostgreSQL database to a cloud solution

• Experience with BigQuery, CloudComposer
