About the Role We’re looking for a seasoned in-house attorney with sharp litigation instincts and a bias for action. As Senior Counsel, Global Risk, Regulatory, and Litigation, you’ll manage the strategic defense of global litigation, navigate complex regulatory challenges, and serve as a trusted legal partner to teams across the company. You’ll join a lean, high-performing legal team where no task is too small or too complex — and where your work will directly shape the future of the business. You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of high-impact projects, work directly with senior leaders, and help shape the legal and regulatory future of our global operations. If you’re energized by complex challenges, practical problem-solving, and making an outsized impact in a scrappy, fast-moving environment — we’d love to hear from you. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, collaborates well cross-functionally, and brings sound legal judgment, strategic thinking, and a practical mindset to everything they do.
What You’ll Do
Lead and build our global litigation and regulatory function — including litigation strategy, outside counsel management, pleadings and settlement negotiations, discovery, and budget oversight.
Develop and implement scalable processes for handling litigation, disputes, and regulatory inquiries across regions.
Oversee subpoena responses and third-party requests for information.
Support internal investigations and responses to privacy and security incidents.
Provide risk-adjusted legal advice to stakeholders across engineering, technical operations, security, people operations, and expert operations.
Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory changes affecting the business globally, and work with internal teams to incorporate changes into the company’s products and strategies.
Advise cross-functional teams, particularly engineering and product, on privacy, AI, and regulatory issues impacting product development and data flows.
Develop and deliver training on regulatory compliance, legal risks, and company policies.
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of legal experience, including significant in-house experience at a technology or fast-paced company (required).
Demonstrated success managing complex litigation and regulatory matters, including overseeing outside counsel and internal partners.
Expertise in e-discovery and handling investigations, subpoenas, and government inquiries.
Strong experience advising highly technical teams, including engineering and product, in dynamic and evolving regulatory environments.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and judgment.
Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively across multiple matters.
Comfort working in ambiguity and wearing multiple hats — we’re a small team that moves fast and gets things done.
Experience with international operations, privacy, AI regulation, or cross-border legal issues is a plus.
Prior litigation experience at a technology company is highly desirable.
Remote From these States California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
