Senior Accountant (Remote)
Overview:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparation, analysis, review, and reporting of financial metrics and results of operation at a detail level. In addition, they assist in multiple accounting functions including but not limited to the month-end close process, quarterly tax filings & audits as well as assist in providing analytical support for quarterly public filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
A Senior Accountant will be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, and reporting. They will be working with many different information sources and databases including revenue, operating expenses and payroll. They should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.
The impact you'll make:
Journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliation of multiple general ledger accounts including, but not limited, expense accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, capitalized internally developed software, and tax.
Initial preparation and review of monthly revenue and operating expenses reports through various analytical procedures, including flux analysis and comparisons to other operating metrics.
Perform detailed analyses of various financial metrics for management
Assist tax consultants with recording of quarterly tax provision and reconciliation
Assist in monthly accounting close process
Assist with various projects such as external reviews, audits, taxes, and public financial reporting filing requirements.
Assist in ERP implementation of SAP.
Performing research and analysis as required
What you've accomplished:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in finance or accounting related functions.
Critical thinking and analytical skills, comfortable working with high volume database
Extensive knowledge of GAAP and application towards accounting entries.
Advanced excel skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion & good judgment
Ability to work independently, strong organizational and multitasking skills
Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment
Bonus Points:
Big 4 and public accounting experience a plus
CPA preferred
SaaS company experience a plus
ERP or systems implementation experience a plus
SAP and/or FinancialForce experience a plus
The base pay range for this position is $88,320.00 - $100,000.00 per year
