Description: Under the direction of the Security Operations Lead, the Security Analyst plays a key role in supporting and enhancing the organization’s cybersecurity posture. This position is responsible for administering boundary and security services across the IT environment, ensuring compliance with security policies, and maintaining documentation and procedures. The Security Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally to assess risks, monitor for threats, and implement effective security controls. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security inquiries, and contributing to the development of security standards and awareness initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Responds to security questionnaires from customers and prospects

  • Works closely with the Security Operations Lead to administer compliance needs and implements network security policies

  • Supports security documentation maintenance and standard operating procedures

  • Reviews and performs network security scanning/assessment and 3rd party penetration testing as assigned

  • Ensures secure data migration and monitors data behavior for abnormal activities

  • Testing and validation of security controls

  • Participate in the development of information security policies and standards

  • Monitor external standards and best practices for Cybersecurity program advancements

  • Supports testing of company systems to locate potential risks and vulnerabilities

  • Reports security status and incidents

  • In consideration of current security threats, collaborates with IT leadership to curate annual security awareness training

  • Travel to orientation, industry or company events, or other onsite meetings as required

  • Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Formal education in Cyber Security or similar field, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • Demonstrated experience specifically related to Security concepts and practices, preferably at a technology organization within healthcare or public safety industries

  • Knowledge of industry best practices and processes for Security service administration

  • Preferred advanced knowledge and experience, not limited to the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Hyper-V, other virtualization technologies, DNS, and Public Key Infrastructure certificates

  • Capacity to solve complex problems utilizing critical thinking and analytical skills to drive results against requirements

  • Effective communication, including verbal and written

  • Time management and organizational skills, appreciation of critical timelines and the ability to work independently in a collaborative environment

  • Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information

  • Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge or skills, especially in systems thinking, service design frameworks, and qualitative research methods

  • Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information

  • Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration, and team orientation

  • Ability to travel as required, up to 10%.

This role can be performed 100% virtually anywhere in the US while following our Remote Work Policy. Deadline to apply is at least 3 days after the posting date listed.

Position Salary Range: The annual base salary range for this full-time role is $60,000- $80,000 USD + bonus + benefits + perks + community gains. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, education or training and other relevant qualifications.
