JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for cross-functional product and engineering teams. This role is responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement across the delivery lifecycle. Senior Scrum Master Role description:   In the role of Senior Scrum Master, you will be part of a dynamic team who lives by Green Dot’s Core Values: High Performance, Trust, Action, Teamwork and Stewardship.      The Senior Scrum Master is a results-driven individual with proven success in facilitating and coordinating Agile Scrum processes by delivering solutions within the agreed scope, budget, schedule and quality leveraging multiple delivery methodologies.      This role requires leadership, together with customer focus, driving engagement, conflict management, adaptability, strong negotiation and effective communication to bring the right focus while effectively optimizing delivery, based on business priorities.      You may work with both internal and external partners and will engage with team members across the US and other international locations.   You may manage multiple scrum teams and scrum masters.  This role will work closely with the product development team to ensure that the work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the desired level of quality. Additionally, you will serve as a coach and mentor to our teams – helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the team is meeting its objectives consistently.    Major Duties and Responsibilities:  Facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum meetings/processes for multiple agile teams and large initiatives.  Guide and coach the teams on Agile Scrum principles and practices.  Ensure the teams works collaboratively and efficiently with each other to deliver high-quality products.  Work with the Product Owner and Development Lead to priorities the product backlog.  Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective.  Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that are hindering the team’s progress.  Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions.  Communicate project status, risks and issues to stakeholders.  Track metrics for the overall project and multiple teams and help teams deliver high-quality products/solutions on time.  Ensure that the team follows the Scrum framework and adheres to Agile principles.  Set the Direction and Tone of the team.    Attributes (intangibles)     Ability to manage and coordinate work between multiple teams and scrum masters to drive to a high-end product delivery.  Adapt communication style for the audience and topics   Demonstrate Confidence; be bold   Strong attention to detail and solid analytical skills   Ability to stay very organized while managing multiple tasks and activities   Takes initiative and is a self-starter   Dealing with ambiguity and problem solving   Ability to manage conflict/dissenting opinions       Required Qualifications  Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.  Proven track record of delivering on large scale or multiple initiatives. Experience with all aspects of managing a scrum teams; delivery, including sprint planning across teams, team velocity reviews, budget, forecasting features/user stories, design, scope management and delivery execution   Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices.  Servant leader and strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.  Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum of Scrum ceremonies.  Availability to work occasional evenings for meetings with offshore team  Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.  Proven ability to manage lifecycle components such as business analysis, design, testing, release management     Preferred skills and qualifications  Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).  Ability to work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional teams.  Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira/Confluence.   Fin Tech experience a plus

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $105,600 to $158,400 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
