Scientific Communications Liaison

Invitae, part of Labcorp, is hiring a Scientific Communications Liaison to join its team. This position will serve as a strategic bridge between scientific, medical, and commercial teams, ensuring the accurate and impactful translation of complex scientific advancements into clear, engaging content. This role supports Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Marketing by curating educational materials, enhancing scientific messaging, and amplifying presence at conferences. This position will focus on supporting the hereditary cancer and rare disease test menu.  We are seeking candidates with a strong background in human genetics.

Please note: this position is 100% remote, and candidate can reside anywhere in the US.

The schedule for this position will be Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm local time zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the MSL team, Marketing team and the scientific team 

  • Educate MSLs on new information in the literature and innovations within Labcorp and Invitae

  • Modify, update and create medical education slide library 

  • Attend and speak at scientific conferences to augment MSL presence

  • Work with scientific team to translate complex scientific and technical advancements such as artificial intelligence, RNA sequencing, and fine-resolution CNV analysis into clear, compelling content for use by MSL team

  • Support marketing in the development of sales collateral and training tools

  • Collaborate in the development of scientific and medical messaging, supporting consistency and accuracy across teams, including marketing, MSLs, and sales

  • Maintain clinical FAQ documents such as the Evidence Modeling Platform resource

  • Collaborate with scientific team and medical legal review team to support approval of client-facing slide decks

  • Collaborate with clinical program managers (CPM)on shared research efforts, or smaller research efforts not included in CPM strategic plan

  • Engage with scientific team to educate MSL and client facing support  teams on new product offerings, especially those in the variant interpretation space, which are highly technical

  • Act as a technical resource on complex topics to enhance and enrich MSL client communications as well as queries from providers when needed

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Genetic Counseling, Human Genetics, or similar advanced degree

  • 2 years experience in a human genetics setting, preferably within hereditary cancer and/or rare diseases focus

  • Previous experience as a Genetic Counselor highly preferred

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills a must

  • Ability to convey complicated scientific principles clearly to multiple audiences, both scientific and commercial

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Technical understanding of molecular genetics, genetic testing technology,  and variant classification and ability to teach these concepts (not perform them directly)

  • Ability to work collaboratively with the medical science liaisons as well as sales training, marketing and internal scientific teams and be able to respond and adapt to feedback and needs from these teams

  • Ability to travel to conferences occasionally

Application Window:  9/11/2025

**Salary Range: $120,000 - $155,000 / year

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
