Job Description
THE POSITION:
As a Salesforce Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative Salesforce solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. Your expertise in Salesforce's core functionalities and advanced features will enable you to create scalable and efficient solutions that drive business growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:
Patient Services Hub Development
Lead the design, development, and implementation of Patient Services Hub programs within Salesforce Health Cloud.
Configure custom objects, workflows, processes, and automation to streamline patient interactions and optimize program management.
Integrate Health Cloud with external systems using MuleSoft and API-first principles to ensure seamless data exchange and a unified patient view.
Engagement Portal & Copay Program Management:
Design and develop engaging patient and HCP portals within Salesforce Experience Cloud, providing functionality for appointment scheduling, medication management, bill pay, and communication.
Build and manage copay programs within Health Cloud, including eligibility determination, benefit calculation, and automated communication workflows.
Technical Architecture & Integration
Create and maintain a robust and scalable Salesforce Health Cloud architecture that supports growth and evolving business needs.
Configure and implement business rules engines to automate complex decision-making processes within patient programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (implementation team, business analysts, developers, data analysts, QA engineers) to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and user requirements.
Standards & Best Practices
Champion Salesforce Health Cloud best practices within the organization, ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and data governance standards.
Proactively identify and implement new features and functionalities within Health Cloud and other relevant technologies to optimize program effectiveness and user experience.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for healthcare solutions, ensuring transparency and knowledge transfer within the team.
Proactively share knowledge with stakeholders through presentations, training sessions, and other knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
10+ years experience as Salesforce Developer/ Architect with a minimum of 3 years experience as a Salesforce Architect, with a strong focus on the healthcare industry.
Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying solutions on the Salesforce Health Cloud platform.
Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud for building patient engagement portals.
Working knowledge of MuleSoft or similar integration platform as a Service (iPaaS) tools.
Familiarity with business rule engines and their application in healthcare IT.
Strong understanding of API-first development principles and best practices.
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
Holds Salesforce Architect Certification(s), one of or combination of
Integration Architect
Application Architect
System Architect
Certified Technical Architect
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Salesforce Health Cloud Certified Professional, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect credentials
Experience with copay program management in Salesforce Health Cloud.
Experience with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
