Sales Operations Analyst
Who you are:
As a Sales Operations Analyst, you’ll use your passion for technology and analysis to assist with sales compensation and the administration of our sales technology stack, supporting the development and optimization of Hometap’s sales initiatives. Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, you’ll join the growing Sales Operations team which works closely with Sales, Originations, Marketing, Legal, Underwriting, Finance and Product. You’ll support the Homeowner journey, from lead generation to funded investments, with plenty of room to learn, innovate, automate, and experiment in between. You’re a great fit if you bring experience in a Sales Operations role, compensation and target setting, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a collaborative approach to your work.
What you'll do:
Administer and maintain key sales tools (e.g., CaptivateIQ, Salesforce, Calendly, Dialpad), including user provisioning and spotting opportunities for process improvements and automation
Dig into performance data to help shape sales targets and support compensation plan design, partnering across cross-functional teams and drawing from historical trends
Help manage commission tools and monthly payouts across multiple teams, making sure everything is accurate and reconciled across systems
Keep sales process documentation for workflows up-to-date and airtight
Resolve all user questions and feedback in Sales Operations cases related to systems, processes, and procedures, ensuring clear conclusions and meeting SLA targets
Efficiently work backwards to solve problems, tackle ad hoc requests, and address unexpected issues as they arise, including performing data analysis to support solutions
Develop a thorough understanding of the team's routing processes, regularly monitor dashboards to troubleshoot and identify potential efficiency enhancements, and propose solution improvements
Ensure that essential Sales and Operations dashboards are updated and rolled over monthly, while maintaining accessibility for all relevant stakeholders
In your first 90 days, you will:
Conduct a monthly audit of Sales Operations Cases – identifying themes and automating at least three manual sales processes
Provide a summary of monthly sales results across compensation plans with feedback for ways to improve
Deliver at least two practical solutions to optimize our routing process
Identify and propose two specific updates to enhance the onboarding/offboarding provisioning process
What you bring:
A minimum of 2 years of experience within a sales operations or similar role
Hands-on experience with compensation, plan development, and target settings
Hands-on experience with implementing or administering Salesforce and other sales technology
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
A curious, hands-on, and hard-working mentality. Someone who is eager to roll-up their sleeves and tackle challenges head-on
The ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish
Intermediate to advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, advanced visualizations)
Bonus Points:
Salesforce Administrator Certification
Experience using CaptivateIQ or a similar compensation tool
Experience working for a startup and/or consumer finance company
