Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Sales Compensation Team at Stripe is responsible for the overall compensation strategy, design, and payment administration for the global sales organization. We ensure that Stripe’s objectives align with the compensation program and that our sales teams are paid accurately and timely. We provide thought leadership for the go-to market initiatives so that performance and compensation are effectively correlated. The Sales Comp team partners closely with the revenue generating and support functions across Stripe to support the success of our sales efforts.

What you’ll do

Stripe’s Sales Compensation Team has an opening for an experienced systems analyst to be responsible for the effective implementation and ongoing use of the Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tool. This person will need both sales compensation knowledge and proven experience as the business owner for the compensation calculation tool used to pay our sales force.

The right person for this position will be someone who is passionate about sales compensation and comfortable working as a program manager for a compensation system. This candidate will need to have experience working across all levels and functions of an organization (preferably in a high growth environment) to handle questions and escalations and deliver accurate compensation on time. The role requires resilience and the ability to both partner and lead in cross-functional situations. Proven leverage of analytics and quantitative data to calculate and validate compensation is required.

This role can be based out of South San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Chicago, or Remote-US (preference to on-site 50% of time).

Responsibilities

  • Complete the in-progress implementation of the ICM tool to enable compensation calculations based on Stripe’s sales compensation models.

  • Conduct testing to ensure the ICM correctly calculates payments due.

  • Work closely with other systems and data teams to enable the performance data to directly feed into the ICM.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely compensation each quarter to the entire sales force through the ICM.

  • Distribute quarterly compensation statements to the sales force.

  • Maintain the accurate salesforce hierarchy and payment structures.

  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards for use at the individual, management, and executive levels.

  • Distribute annual sales compensation plans in the ICM.

  • Lead training and provide support to ICM users.

  • Have an in-depth understanding of the sales compensation structures used at Stripe.

  • Have an in-depth understanding of the sales function, product priorities, and individual sales team characteristics at Stripe.
