Sales Communications Architect

About the Role

We're looking for a Sales Communications Architect to design and build an AI-powered communications engine that transforms how we deliver critical messaging and manage change across HubSpot’s global sales team. This is a newly created role that will work closely with senior leadership to turn communications from a point of friction into a key competitive advantage for our team.

We move fast at HubSpot, which means there is always a lot for our sales team to know and do. You will be “air traffic control”, architecting processes to prioritize and contextualize the information flowing to the sales team so they can focus on what’s most important: helping our customers grow.

This isn’t a traditional comms role – we’re looking for someone to completely reimagine the way we approach sales comms with AI and automation at the center. You’ll bring thought-leadership on comms strategy and process management, driving both efficiency and quality of the comms experience across the various roles in sales. Success is achieving a more sophisticated, curated comms experience without additional human overhead. 

We're looking for someone who thrives in ambiguous environments, has a knack for communicating to diverse audiences, excels at process design, and is deeply curious about the evolving landscape of AI tools. We expect this role to evolve with time, and it’s best suited for someone who is energized by the possibilities and wants to help shape the vision.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Building an AI-powered sales comms operating system - Serve as the central intake point for all internal sales communications with AI-driven triage, prioritization, and scheduling to ensure the right message gets to the right audience at the right time

  • Managing a unified internal comms calendar for Sales - Maintain a single source-of-truth view of all information flowing to the sales team, from tops-down exec comms to bottoms-up team updates, ensuring the sales team receives clear signal on what’s most important 

  • Shaping messaging that resonates with Sales - Leverage understanding of the sales team and business prioritizes to design messaging and materials that drive clarity and inspire action across multiple comms channels (email, slack, visual decks, video)

  • Researching and integrating emerging AI technologies - Aggressively evaluate and incorporate new tools and best practices to maintain a world-class communications infrastructure that scales with organizational growth. 

  • Supporting strategic sales initiatives - Drive communications and support project management for major sales initiatives and events across multiple formats and global audiences, in partnership with sales leadership and cross-functional partners

What we're looking for:

  • Exceptional Communications Skills - Thought leader in comms strategy; ability to craft clear and engaging comms that resonate with diverse audiences across multiple modalities

  • AI Technology Expertise - Comprehensive understanding of current AI technologies with demonstrated curiosity and ability to continuously adapt to emerging tools

  • Systems Thinking - Experience building scalable, automated systems and workflows that can adapt and evolve with changing business needs

  • Business Acumen & Stakeholder Management - Ability to understand and align communications strategy with broader sales objectives and organizational priorities; comfort working across cross-functional leadership to drive alignment

  • Comfort with Ambiguity - High tolerance for ambiguity, strong bias for action, and problem-solving mindset with the expectation of continuously reinventing the role as technology and business needs evolve

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 5+ years of experience working directly with sales teams, ideally through a sales leadership, sales enablement, or sales operations role

  • Global perspective with experience managing communications across multiple time zones and cultural contexts

  • Track record of building innovative processes from the ground up in high-growth environments with lean resourcing

  • Genuine passion for researching and experimenting with AI tools to drive improved business outcomes

  • Creativity to imagine fresh, engaging ways to share information across written and visual modalities that align with brand voice and visual standards

Pay & Benefits

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
