HCS Healthcare is a leading recruiting partner for professionals as a Remote (Work from Home) Medical Coder / Certified Professional Coder / CPC / CCS-P / Certified Coding Specialist in the Sandy Springs area with immediate opportunities for CPC / Certified Professional Coder / Medical Coder / CCS-P / Certified Coding Specialist, seeking to work with one of the TOP health plans in the U.S.! Daily responsibilities will include: performing medical record audits to validate ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding to submit to CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), retrieve medical records to ensure review of HCC coding, as well as reviewing Risk Adjustment Payment System (RAPS) submissions are correct and valid.

What we look for in a Medical Coder / CPC / Certified Professional Coder / CCS-P / Certified Coding Specialist:

• Active CPC (Certified Professional Coder) OR CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist- Physician based) REQUIRED
• Inpatient or Outpatient coding experience REQUIRED
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid coding REQUIRED
• Medicaid / Medicare Risk Adjustment experience HIGHLY DESIRED

Salary for a Medical Coder / CPC / Certified Professional Coder / CCS-P / Certified Coding Specialist:

• Up to $27/hr. based on experience and certification
