Why this role matters:

As a member of Vonage’s Product Delivery organization, you'll have a unique opportunity to shape the future of customer engagement. By supporting our engineering and product teams, you'll help deliver a truly immersive platform experience that revolutionizes how businesses communicate.

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a pivotal role responsible for orchestrating the Agile Release Train (ART) and ensuring the smooth delivery of value across programs and portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in leading Agile transformations, managing delivery processes, and optimizing team performance using tools like Jira. This role is crucial in aligning teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic and evolving organization.

Your key responsibilities:

  • ART delivery: You will oversee the delivery of our ART, ensuring the teams' work and PI plans align with our overall business goals.

  • Stakeholders management: You will act as a central point of communication, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring there is consistent and effective collaboration between Product Management, Engineering, and Product Delivery.

  • Manage dependencies & risks: A key part of your role will be to identify, track, and help resolve dependencies and risks within the ART and with other teams.

  • Drive a continuous flow of value: You will help the teams maintain a steady, unblocked flow of work by proactively identifying bottlenecks, managing the feature backlog, and ensuring features are ready for PI planning.

  • Ensure strategic alignment: You'll work to connect the ART's work to our portfolio strategy, ensuring features link to approved epics and supporting stakeholders with planning and reporting.

  • Utilize data for improvement: You will be responsible for tracking and visualizing our progress using Jira and other tools. This includes developing dashboards for metrics like ART predictability, delivery trends, and capacity, and using this data to drive continuous improvement and report on PI achievements.

  • Facilitate key events: You'll organize and lead essential SAFe events, including PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops, ensuring clear outcomes and stakeholder alignment.

  • Support & document processes: You will help align priorities with team capacity and be responsible for documenting our ways of working to ensure clarity and consistency.

What you'll bring:

  • Agile delivery experience (>4 years): You have solid experience in an Agile environment, working as a Senior Scrum Master in an ART, an Agile Lead, or a RTE.

  • Familiarity with SAFe: You have a good understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). A certification (like SA, RTE, or SM) is a plus, but practical experience working within a SAFe ART is just as valuable.

  • Practical Agile knowledge: You possess a strong understanding of Lean/Agile principles and can apply them pragmatically to suit the team and business context.

  • Jira proficiency: You are comfortable and proficient with using Jira to manage work, track progress, and create reports. Experience with Jira Align is a bonus.

  • A collaborative mindset: You excel at working with cross-functional and multicultural teams and stakeholders, fostering a positive and collaborative environment to get things done.

  • A drive for improvement: You are naturally curious and passionate about continuous improvement, with an eye for making processes work better for everyone.

  • Adaptability: You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities can evolve, and you can adapt to change with a positive attitude.

How you’ll benefit:

  • Discretionary Time Off

  • Private Medical Healthcare

  • Pension scheme

  • Ericsson support line

  • Flexible work scheme

  • Multisport card

  • Group life insurance
