Regional Human Resources Business Partner

As Loka’s Regional Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a positive employee experience and supporting managers and employees across the organization. This role requires someone who can balance regional operational excellence with global strategic alignment, serving as the key HR leader for the East Europe region. You will act as a trusted advisor on HR-related matters at our Macedonia office and support employees across the Balkans, handle employee relations and drive key HR initiatives including performance management, compliance and employee engagement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence Loka’s workplace culture, develop and implement impactful HR strategies and support the growth of a global, dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
Support managers and employees through regular meetings, career coaching, conflict resolution and performance management across the Eastern European region.
Partner with leadership to translate business goals into people strategies and HR solutions.
Contribute to global strategic HR planning, shaping initiatives with global insights at scale.
Drive the performance-management cycle (goal-setting, reviews, development plans, etc) while focusing on growth and feedback for the entire region.
Conduct stay interviews and engagement check-ins to help Loka stay ahead of retention risks.
Lead regional projects and co-lead global, cross-regional initiatives in areas like organizational design, change management and employee experience improvements.
Promote Loka’s culture by standardizing the employee experience across all countries.
Lead employee relations cases, including investigations and disciplinary processes, with fairness and consistency.
Oversee onboarding and development for new hires while providing guidance on promotions, salary reviews and career progression planning
Analyze HR data and trends by tracking employee satisfaction and retention patterns and identify potential workplace issues via surveys and metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
At least four years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, performance management and policy implementation
Strong knowledge of local Macedonian employment laws and regulations across regions (experience in Europe and/or Latin America is a plus)
Proficiency in managing HRIS systems and handling confidential employee data
Proven ability to build strong relationships with employees and managers at all levels
Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Experience designing and delivering training and development programs (considered a plus)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment
A proactive mindset with a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture
