The Chef Tree is looking for a self-motivated Recruitment Consultant to join our small remote working team to help manage the day-to-day candidate outreach and onboarding of our well-established and busy chef agency.

You don’t need to be an experienced recruiter to join our team.

We would love you to bring your hospitality experience to our team and use it to help us reach more chefs who will enjoy a long and lovely career working within residential and nursing homes and schools.

Our chefs find it very rewarding to move from an over-stretched, under-appreciated commercial kitchen to help the older people in our communities and the younger generations with fantastic nutritious food.

The Chef Tree is a well-established agency (2009) and specialises in supplying Chefs, mainly to schools and residential nursing homes on a temporary basis.

About You:

  • If you love a fast-paced role with a small team helping develop and place our chef talent pool, this could be your ideal next role.

  • Personality and relationship building is just as important to this role as attention to detail and organisation skills

  • You are a naturally enthusiastic person with a genuine passion for helping out, problem-solving and doing a good job

  • You’ll be comfortable in joining our regular Zoom team meetings, have ideas to bring to the table and be confident working closely (but remotely) with the Director and Desk Manager.

  • We all work from home so if you prefer an office-based role, we’re probably not the right team for you.

Working from Home:

  • Working from home can have its challenges, but you love it and have previous experience working in this capacity.

  • Your home environment helps you to stay highly motivated and productive, even on super busy days!

  • Your home working set-up is key, and you’ll have ample space for a desk in your home and know what it takes to excel as a key part of our small team.

Your new role as our newest Recruitment Consultant/Recruiter will include tasks such as:

  • Liaising and developing working relationships with newly found chefs by phone and email

  • Helping our new chefs through the hiring process

  • Candidate and recruitment admin on our database - don’t worry, we’ll show you how!

  • Developing relationships with new and existing clients

  • Managing compliance as all our chefs need to be DBS-checked.

To join our team at The Chef Tree as our new Recruiter/Recruitment Consultant, you will have the following skills, experience and personality:

  • Previous hospitality experience is very much desirable

  • You love a fast-paced admin background!

  • You’re an excellent communicator via the phone, on Zoom and in person.

  • Solid grammar and writing skills.

  • An eye for detail.

  • Process-driven, and you love working to deadlines - and you love efficient ways of doing things.

  • A willingness to contribute ideas - we find small teams work well when everyone contributes

  • Always looking at ways to improve things.

  • Highly self-motivated.

  • The ability to prioritise.

  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new systems.

Salary: £20,000 to £24,000 depending on your experience, company bonus plus pension
