About the RoleAs a Quality Engineer, you will be embedded into a product team where you will apply your skills and experience to aid your team in delivering on their individual objectives. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Advising on quality assurance and testing best practice
Promoting shift left thinking on quality assurance
Code/peer review of testing activities and automation
Building and maintaining of automated test suites
Leading on quality assurance and test automation approaches
Contributing toward Quality Engineering objectives
Working with internal and external SMEs to understand testing requirements
Advocating for building testability into applications
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to join us on a fixed term contract whilst one of our team is on maternity leave. For the right candidate, there is plenty of opportunity to grow, learn and immerse yourself in our collaborative and supportive working culture.
About YouCandidates should have as a minimum;
3+ years experience in a Software Quality Engineering role (or similar, e.g. SDET, QA, Test Automation Engineer etc.)
3+ years experience in creating and maintaining automated tests in a working environment
A passion for quality assurance and testing
Desire for being immersed in a cross-functional team
Experience of creating automated end-to-end tests for complex applications
Automated REST/GraphQL API testing experience
Demonstrable experience using technology (or similar to):
Typescript
Playwright
NodeJS
REST APIs
CucumberJS
Cypress
Percy.io
Docker
BrowserStack
Git
Our ideal candidate would also have the following;
ISTQB certification
Computer Science or related degree
Experience of working in a fintech company
Experience of testing complex financial calculations
