  • Develop and manage marketing budgets, and allocate resources effectively to target government decision makers at every stage of the procurement process.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop lead generation and nurturing campaigns that target government officials and purchasing departments.

  • Create closed-loop feedback with Sales to understand impacts and outcomes, and leverage learnings to inform future campaigns.

  • Work cross-functionally to define and execute integrated marketing campaigns designed to generate high intent demand (including first-party events, third-party event sponsorships, paid and organic social media tactics, content creation and syndication, etc.).

  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, and adjust campaigns to optimize results, with a focus on conversion rates, cost-per-lead, and sales revenue.

  • Manage external agencies, vendors, and partners to execute campaigns and initiatives and oversee the on-time and on-budget delivery of campaigns.

  • Plan and execute participation in public sector conferences, trade shows, and government-focused events, ensuring maximum ROI and brand impact, and to network with government officials and decision makers involved in the procurement process.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Public Sector/Govt. and Industry marketing with a strong history of success.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive lead generation and revenue growth in the government sector.

  • Deep knowledge of the government procurement process, regulations, and purchasing cycles, as well as an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of different government officials involved in the procurement process.

  • Extensive experience managing presence at owned and 3rd party events, and a strong perspective on which events will be most effective for WordPress VIP from a demand generation perspective and in support of brand recognition objectives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing marketing content for government decision makers and influencers.
