Who we are
Brivity VA, a brand of PLACE, is looking for a self-starting Property Management Assistant to support our own property management division. In this capacity, you will work as the right hand in assisting experienced property managers handling an average of 200 doors. From reviewing potential tenants to completing the moving out process, the ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting daily operations to ensure smooth management of properties and excellent service to tenants and owners.
What is expected of you
AppFolio Management: Enter, update, and maintain property, tenant, and financial data in AppFolio; generate reports as needed.
Tenant Relations: Respond to tenant inquiries, maintenance requests, and general communication in a timely and professional manner.
Leasing Support: Assist with rental listings, tenant screening, lease preparation, renewals, and move-in/move-out processes.
Owner Communication: Prepare and distribute monthly reports, financial statements, and updates to property owners.
Maintenance Coordination: Schedule, track, and follow up on work orders; liaise with vendors and contractors.
Administrative Support: Assist with bookkeeping, rent collections, late notices, and other office-related tasks.
Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with California property management laws and fair housing regulations.
What you need to possess
Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with AppFolio property management software.
2+ years of experience in property management or a related administrative role.
Strong understanding of rental laws and property management practices.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general tech-savviness.
