About The Role 

​​The Project Manager II will support the design and implementation of programmatic data collection plans and application pipeline management for large-scale grant programs focused on electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. This role involves overseeing the collection and interpretation of data related to EV charger utilization, managing equipment eligibility and technology requirements, supporting the design and implementation of a large-scale EV charging infrastructure incentive program, and streamlining grant processes. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, compliance with relevant policies, and effective program operations.   The Project Manager II will report to the Lead Project Manager, Operations and Process Optimization, on the Clean Fuels and Infrastructure team. The Project Manager II will support light duty electric vehicle infrastructure incentives, such as Communities in Charge.​ 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • ​​Design and implement data collection plans for large-scale grant programs, ensuring alignment with program objectives.  

  • Oversee data collection, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all program elements.   

  • Manage equipment eligibility and technology requirements.   

  • Support application pipeline management.   

  • Support development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.  

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the implementation of a large-scale EV charging infrastructure incentive program.   

  • Utilize creativity to identify opportunities for streamlining grant processes and improving operational efficiency.   

  • Interpret and communicate programmatic data insights to internal and external stakeholders.   

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations concerning EV infrastructure.   

  • Provide support in the development of project documentation, reports, and other communication materials. ​ 

Qualifications

  • ​​At least 3 years of experience in project management, business analytics, infrastructure planning, transportation planning, or other related field.   

  • Knowledge of clean transportation, with a focus on EV infrastructure.   

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.   

  • Experience in creative problem-solving and critical thinking.   

  • Familiarity with relevant policies concerning EV infrastructure and clean transportation programs.   

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.   

  • Experience with public grants and incentive programs is a plus. ​ 

Desired Qualifications

  • ​​Familiarity with business analytics, data analysis, data science, or coding, though not strictly required.   

  • Experience with technology platforms used for data collection and program management.   

  • Background in sustainability or environmental programs is desirable. ​ 

$72,000 - $85,760 a year

CALSTART values transparency and strives to provide as much information regarding compensation as possible. The complete salary range for this role is $72,000-$85,760. Pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, internal equity and other factors relevant to the job.
