Programs and Business Operations Lead

The Community You Will Join: 

Airbnb’s Host Services team is developing new business lines designed to improve listing quality and unlock new value for Hosts. To support this work, we’re hiring a Senior Business Analyst to partner closely with the program lead. This individual will help shape early strategy, build compelling business cases, and ensure seamless execution as initiatives grow.

The Difference You Will Make:

This is a hands-on role focused on building from 0 to 1. You’ll help break down high-level ideas into actionable workstreams and support cross-functional partners in moving them forward. The right candidate is highly analytical, organized, and fast-moving, with a strong execution mindset and a desire to help build and scale new initiatives within Airbnb. Your work will include:

• Developing strategic decks and supporting frameworks that help communicate ideas clearly and drive alignment across stakeholders

• Conducting market research, sizing opportunities, and contributing to financial models to evaluate new business lines

• Supporting the execution and tracking of approved initiatives in partnership with Product, Legal, Marketing, and other teams

A Typical Day: 

• Strategy Development & Storytelling

  • Build and maintain decks that communicate strategy clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders.

  • Help structure ideas and research into frameworks that can guide internal discussions and decision-making.

  • Create structured narratives and presentation materials to support alignment across the team and broader stakeholders.

• Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct research to benchmark competitors, evaluate whitespace opportunities, and help define Airbnb’s point of differentiation.

  • Contribute to business case development through research, modeling, and synthesis of customer and competitive insights.

  • Support partnership with FP&A and other teams to estimate potential revenue impact and refine assumptions.

• Execution Support & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Help translate strategic plans into operational trackers and templates to support execution.

  • Assist in tracking progress across teams and flagging issues to the program lead when needed.

  • Work with Product, Legal, Marketing, Scaled Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure successful execution of approved initiatives.

• Performance Tracking & Continuous Optimization

  • Support the development of reporting frameworks to measure business performance.

  • Collaborate with Data Science and Scaled Ops to extract and synthesize insights from available data sources.

  • Identify areas of opportunity or underperformance and help propose concrete actions to improve outcomes over time.

Your Expertise:

• 10+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, or a high-growth operational environment.

• Proficient in SQL or Superset; comfortable navigating large datasets and drawing actionable insights.

• Strong modeling and analytical skills; able to work with ambiguous or incomplete data to create structured analysis.

• Fast-paced and highly autonomous — able to move quickly, prioritize ruthlessly, and keep multiple workstreams in motion.

• Clear, structured communicator with excellent written output; able to synthesize information and make it accessible to a broader audience.

• Strong project management skills and comfort working cross-functionally across technical and business teams.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
