Mercury is building a complete finance stack for startups. We work hard to create the easiest and safest banking* experience possible to simplify entrepreneurs' and business owners’ financial lives.

In this role, you will report to our Head of Community & Mercury Raise. Raise is Mercury’s new platform built to connect and support the startup ecosystem, at scale. The platform launched in September of 2023, making this an exciting opportunity to jump into a new area of the business and drive outsized impact right away. You’ll lead the ideation, testing and building of a variety of tools and programs to help finance leads build community, grow their careers, support their companies and supercharge their impact.

*Mercury is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services provided by Choice Financial Group and Evolve Bank & Trust, Members FDIC.

Here are some things you’ll do on the job:

  • Conduct user research with finance leads and review existing research and interviews to identify needs and wants from this community

  • Prioritize, scope and build the first iterations of finance lead programs and tools using primarily no/low-code tools

  • Support the operations, optimization and success of launched programs and tools, learn and iterate quickly

  • Brainstorm additional ideas and concepts to add to the platform

  • Identify hypotheses, test those hypotheses with low and no code solutions, and decide whether an idea shows enough promise to pursue with additional resources

  • Interact regularly with xfn ecosystem experts internally and externally to identify opportunity areas and gain context into the nuances of the finance lead experience

You should:

  • Have 4+ years experience managing projects and program ideation across multiple teams, with expertise in working with product, marketing, account management and partnerships

  • Have a high level of familiarity with finance leads and their day to day experiences

  • Enjoy building, testing and learning with a strong focus on data and outcomes

  • Be familiar with the startup ecosystem, and have spent at least 3 years at an early stage, high growth company

  • Have a passion for helping more finance leads build successful careers supporting tech-enabled businesses

  • Value user experience, design and high quality product

  • Be comfortable in a low structure, high velocity role with high expectations around measurable impact

The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits.

Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.

Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:

  • US employees in the New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $136,600 - $160,700
