Kibeam is an ed-tech startup developing a completely novel, AI-enabled, hands-on technology to tackle the global literacy crisis. We are helping young children develop essential reading skills while nurturing a lifelong passion for reading and learning - without screens. Are you looking for a foot in the door to the world of children’s ed-tech and media? We’re looking for a savvy, detail-oriented Production Assistant to support our content team. This role is a great opportunity to learn the foundations of creative production in a kids education/games environment. If you're both technical and creative, excel at multitasking, and thrive on fast-paced, dynamic teams, this could be the perfect role for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Support:

  • Shape and adjust digital spreads in Adobe Illustrator for machine learning (ML) training datasets.

  • Digitally scan and process content to support production needs.

  • Data Management:

  • Edit skill codes into automatically generated report maps for completed projects.

  • Upload and manage data in reporting systems, including submissions to external stakeholders.

  • Maintain and update Excel sheets with precision and efficiency.

  • Documentation & Communication:

  • Review and update design documents based on ongoing changes, collaborating with producers to ensure accuracy.

  • Analyze design documents to identify and establish associations between components.

  • Project Coordination:

  • Set up project infrastructure, including Slack channels, Jira boards, and design documents based on templates.

  • Assist producers with additional project setup and management tasks as needed.

  • Workflow Optimization:

  • Provide input on improving manual processes while working within a rapidly evolving production pipeline.

  • Adapt seamlessly between tasks and contexts as priorities shift.

Qualifications

  • A demonstrated interest in children’s products, education, games, or media.

  • Prior experience in production, digital workflows, or project coordination is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and Jira are all pluses.

  • Sharp attention to detail and highly organized/

  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and switching contexts efficiently.

  • Resourceful, quick learner with strong problem-solving skills.

  • A great sense of humor and sense of childlike whimsy!

$25 - $25 an hour

This role is scoped as a part-time contract position, roughly 20-35 hours per week paying $25/hr. We are open to understanding an ideal schedule/workload for strong applicants.
