Company Overview

Athennian increases trust in business. Our products help legal, finance, and tax teams be transaction and audit-ready by organizing business entity and corporate structure information. Over 370,000 business entities in almost every country are managed on Athennian to automate workflows for ownership, company secretarial, governance, tax, and compliance.

The Role

Athennian is searching for an experienced Product Marketing Manager (PMM) with a proven track record in SaaS product marketing within the legal, tax, finance, treasury, compliance, or regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, insurance). The PMM will collaborate across GTM and product teams to drive strategic positioning and adoption of our innovative product, shaping and evolving our product marketing strategy to consistently deliver customer and prospect value. This role will help design and execute marketing strategies that elevate product awareness and adoption, particularly for emerging features. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in running robust competitive intelligence, product commercialization, and customer feedback programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Execute comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new product launches and feature rollouts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Positioning & Messaging: Shape product positioning and messaging to differentiate our products across verticals. Develop compelling narratives that clearly communicate the value proposition to various buyer personas.

  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth B2B market research and analysis to identify trends, customer pain points, and competitive threats. Use insights to shape product marketing strategies and provide feedback to product teams.

  • Go-to-Market Enablement: Partner with the product, sales, implementation, and customer success teams to create impactful enablement materials such as product presentations, sales playbooks, case studies, objection-handling guides, and competitive battlecards.

  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of product-related content, including datasheets, white papers, blog posts, website copy, videos, and webinars that effectively communicate product benefits to a B2B audience.

  • Monitor & Measure Performance: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product marketing activities, such as feature adoption rates, and market share. Report regularly on performance and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, sales, customer success, and other teams to ensure product marketing aligns with the broader company strategy and goals.

What you have already achieved:

  • Experience: 5+ years of product marketing experience in a SaaS technology company.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically while also executing tactically. Proven experience developing successful go-to-market strategies and positioning complex products in competitive markets.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

  • Market Knowledge: Strong knowledge of B2B market research methodologies and competitive analysis. Familiarity with customer personas, segmentation, and buyer journey mapping.

  • Analytical Skills: Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make informed recommendations. Experience with metrics-driven marketing approaches.

  • Collaboration: Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment, especially with product, sales, and demand generation teams.

  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with marketing automation tools, CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot), product analytics tools (Pendo/FullStory), and other relevant marketing technologies.

  • Problem Solver:  You are an adaptive problem solver, willing to do the work and fill in gaps across roles and responsibilities as needed to make our product successful.

  • End-to-End Mindset: You use structured, diligent thinking to understand all key components necessary to drive our product's ongoing success.
