Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Enterprise Information Management (EIM) product team. This role will play a key part in defining and executing the roadmap for Information Discovery, transforming the way our workforce finds and leverages Netflix information. You’ll partner closely with engineering, design, and stakeholders across the enterprise to build secure and scalable Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) search, delightful discovery interfaces, and search endpoints for GenAI developers.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced and cross functional environments. You will have the opportunity to make a big impact through owning critical decisions and progress in the domain.

About You:

You are curious and creative, and have experience applying product management frameworks to develop enterprise or consumer products.  You have a keen eye for design, are highly adaptable and when faced with challenges, you become more creative, not less.  You like solving problems and can drive clarity to build the optimal products.

You are biased toward execution and can lead the team to bring projects from concept to completion, doing everything possible to ensure a successful launch.  You are data-driven with a knack for using data to identify business opportunities, have a can-do attitude, are confident, and a skilled communicator who welcomes honest and candid feedback. You are comfortable working with engineers, customers, and executives and know how to articulate your communication to each audience effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the product strategy, roadmap and execution for the end-to-end Search vision, reshaping the way our workforce interacts with information and knowledge

  • Synthesize employee gaps and challenges into requirements, serving as the voice of the customer

  • Explore Search LLM grounding methodologies like AI-powered generative search and prompt engineering to deliver factual and relevant information to people, engineers and GenAI tools

  • Scan industry landscapes and trends and bring new ideas to the table

  • Responsible for developing information best practices in partnership with Netflix’s security, data privacy and legal teams

  • Design search evaluation experiments to increase search quality

  • Monitor product performance, adoption and satisfaction using data, user research, and other creative feedback mechanisms

  • Have a deep understanding and empathy for a broad range of internal customers, from everyday employees to internal engineering teams

Requirements:

  • 5+ years product management experience with a proven record of delivering enterprise or consumer products

  • Familiarity with search engine foundations e.g., retrieval augmented generation, chunking, evaluation, query rewriting, and reranking

  • Exception analytical skills - there’s a lot of data to dig into!

  • Demonstrated experience delivering 0-1 products

  • Comfortable collaborating with engineers and making tradeoffs based on technical considerations and business priorities

  • Self-directed and comfortable operating in a decentralized, fast-paced environment

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $240,000 - $725,000.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.
