We’re revolutionising the utilities industry and are excited about how Kraken can transform both the customer experience and operational efficiency for our clients.

By prioritising customer satisfaction and cost competitiveness, we believe Kraken is not just the best solution for businesses, but also a powerful tool in addressing the climate crisis.

We’re seeking a hands-on Product Manager to help build our new Contract Journeys product within Kraken, delivering an industry-leading experience for our clients.

You’ll tackle complex challenges and create products that enable our customers to easily enter / amend / renew / exit complex contracts. This is a critical capability for the new customer segments Kraken is rapidly expanding to : business, telco, complex energy accounts.

Long term, you and the team will participate in redefining Journeys as a whole for Kraken Customer (alongside the two existing Journey teams) and challenge the expectations with which they’ve been built thus far.

There are currently 3 developers in the team, a technical delivery person and a tech lead ; all are in european timezones. (The team is just being set up, these might change in the coming weeks). Expectations are for the team to grow in the coming quarters.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate and prioritise the product roadmap to ensure alignment between Kraken and our clients.

  • Use your deep understanding of our communications products to identify and resolve issues, whilst leveraging existing and new technologies to drive improvement

  • Work closely with the software engineering teams, design team, and Client Delivery Leads, to define the product vision and strategy.

  • Gather, consolidate, and break down stakeholder requirements into actionable, incremental tasks.

  • Support the engineering teams to develop product features.

  • Develop relationships with communications product specialists within Kraken Technologies, and some client organisations.

  • Work across timezones to proactively manage dependencies and drive cross team collaboration.

  • Continuously identify ways to improve visibility, remove blockers, and accelerate development.

What you'll have

  • Proven experience leading large, complex products with multiple stakeholders and diverse user needs

  • To be able to work in an ambiguous, dynamic environment, and be comfortable with uncertainty and constant change. Experience in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up would be a plus.

  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with global teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact with people with varying levels of technical knowledge.

  • Experience with agile product development and user-centred design principles

  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance competing demands and influence decision-making at all levels of the organisation
