Product Manager - Finance
Position Summary:
The Product Manager- Finance develops the vision and strategy for a product within our Financial Services team. They work closely with other Product Managers, Engineers, and business stakeholders and help define a roadmap that delivers value for both customers and the business. The Product Manager uses techniques such as design thinking, user testing, and experimentation to generate insights to have a general understanding of our business and customers. They assist more senior Product Managers to prioritize enhancements that will have the greatest impact. The Product Manager creates product artifacts, manages backlogs, and participates in iterating product processes.
Essential Responsibilities:
Owns, communicates, and drives strategy for the billing product area to maximize growth, automation, and value
Applies design and product thinking to optimize billing workflows and user experiences
Collaborates cross-functionally with Finance, Engineering, Support, and other Product Managers to align on enhancements and execution
Creates and manages the product roadmap for billing and invoicing capabilities
Defines OKRs, measurable outcomes, and success metrics aligned with organizational goals
Uses research and data to drive product decisions — from customer interviews to experiment results and billing accuracy KPIs
Writes clear, actionable user stories and manages the backlog to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
Leads agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and UAT in partnership with Engineering
Triages bugs and billing issues, providing clarity on priorities and business impact
Drives continuous improvement in billing accuracy, automation, and financial reporting alignment
Serves as the subject matter expert for internal stakeholders on the billing product
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
5+ years in product management or a related role, with 3+ years in a financial/billing context
Familiarity with APIs, cloud services, and how they integrate into billing workflows
Strong analytical mindset — comfortable interpreting data and identifying trends in billing or payment performance
Demonstrated ability to write clear, actionable stories, manage a backlog, and deliver features through Agile/Scrum
Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Deep curiosity and strong desire to “own” a product, becoming the internal expert and point of contact
Ability to make decisions amid ambiguity and distill complex problems into solutions
Proven track record of delivering outcomes — not just features — in a fast-paced environment
Scrupulous about business value — always thinking about impact, ROI, and downstream effects
Self-starter with a bias toward action, while also comfortable managing dependencies and long-term planning
Strong empathy for users and a passion for building customer-centric solutions
Comfortable managing multiple priorities, stakeholder inputs, and technical trade-offs
Compensation:
Qualified candidates can expect a compensation range of $115,000 to $128,000 - depending on experience.
