Edmunds offers flexibility to work fully remote, from our Edquarters, or a combination of both

At Edmunds we’re driven to make car buying easier. Ever since we began publishing printed car guides in the 60’s, the company has been in the business of trust, innovating ways to empower and support car shoppers. When Edmunds launched the car industry’s first Internet site in 1994, we established a leadership position online and have never looked back. Now, as one of the most trusted review sites on the Internet, millions of visitors use our research, shopping and buying tools every month to make an easy and informed decision on their next car. For consumers, we bring peace of mind. For dealers, we make tools to help them solve their problems and sell more cars. How do we do it, you ask? The key ingredients are our enthusiastic employees, progressive company culture and cutting-edge technology. Want to join the team? Read on to find out how!

What You’re Applying For:

Edmunds.com is looking for a self-driven Product Manager to join our Digital Retailing team which is responsible for creating, launching and expanding new features on the site that help our shoppers complete more of their car deals online rather than at the dealership. The ideal candidate will have 2+years of hands-on product experience conceptualizing, building and growing B2C and/or B2B software products, and have the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where change is both expected and welcomed. They will not only create new value for our users, but will also have a keen sense for identifying and capitalizing on revenue opportunities.

As a Product Manager, you will:

  • Be the primary subject matter expert for all of our team’s products that we’re responsible for because of your inherent curiosity to learn how things work at the deepest level

    • Learn our technical ecosystem well enough that you can diagram it and teach it to others

    • Drive user engagement and revenue growth through deep understanding of our analytics and business drivers

    • Interview users and customers to learn their needs and synthesize them into actionable priorities

    • Craft concise, credible, and engaging narratives for the executive team from detailed information

  • Rally our team and supporting teams to launch new features due to your ownership mindset and innate desire to make an impact

    • Articulate goals to all teams involved, fostering purpose-driven participation

    • Write focused, thoughtful user stories in a Kanban environment for developers, designers, and analysts

    • Conduct rigorous testing to catch defects before they reach end-users

    • Analyze impact of launched features using Amplitude, Tableau, and Databricks

    • Navigate complex environments flexibly, maintaining productive relationships

    • Share outcomes transparently to foster collective learning of the team and the company

  • Provide excellent internal and external support for our digital retailing products through crisp communication skills and committed follow-through

    • Take the lead in responding to support inquiries, escalations, and feedback from internal and external parties

    • Troubleshoot product defects, driving timely resolution and keeping teams informed

What You Need:

  • 2+ years product management experience with software/web development projects, including:

    • Experience working with cross-functional teams of 5-15 people using Agile scrum and Kanban software development methodologies

    • Experience prioritizing, writing, and testing user stories

  • Working knowledge of Google Apps (docs, sheets, slides), Atlassian JIRA, and Slack

  • Strong analytics skills and exposure to product analytics tools such as Tableau, Amplitude, or Google Analytics, or similar. SQL skills are a plus.

  • Strong presentation, communication, coordination, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while using your resourcefulness and experience to ask for help from the right people when you need it

  • Ability to navigate and adapt quickly to ambiguity and change

  • Solid relationship-building skills to create trust-based, productive relationships with a wide variety of colleagues and personality types

  • Knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus.

The compensation range for this position is $111,000-$141,000 per year. The base pay will take into account internal equity as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition, Edmunds offers full-time employees a comprehensive total rewards package including the benefits listed below.

Edmunds Perks:

  • Flexible time off

  • 13 Paid Holidays

  • Comprehensive Health Benefits (medical, dental, vision, life and disability)

  • Flexible Spending Accounts (Employees) and Health Savings Accounts (Employee and Employer Contributions)

  • 401K Plan with company matching at 100%, up to 6% of eligible salary with immediate vesting

  • Stock purchase program

  • CarMax vehicle discount

  • Up to 4 months Paid Parental Leave

  • HeartCash matches employee donations to the causes that are important to them

  • 2 Days of Paid Time Off for time to dedicate to social impact causes

  • FitCash covers a portion of gym or fitness activity fees

  • Well being sessions and events such as yoga, meditation and walking challenges

  • On-going career development sessions and an annual learning event

  • Pet insurance

  • Sabbatical leave

  • Education Reimbursement

  • Pre-tax spending accounts for qualified transportation expenses

  • Plus a coffee bar, frozen yogurt and more!
