Product Manager - Data Engineering
What You’ll Do
As a Product Manager focused on Data Engineering, you’ll lead the roadmap and strategy for data initiatives that fuel enterprise tools like Salesforce, Marketo, and ServiceNow. You’ll work cross-functionally with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to build scalable data pipelines, optimize data warehouses, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Your work will directly impact how Pax8 teams access insights, accelerate growth, and deliver value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and evolve the data engineering product roadmap aligned with business OKRs.
Enhance data accessibility and usability across enterprise platforms.
Apply product thinking to improve the data consumer experience.
Collaborate across teams to prioritize and deliver high-impact solutions.
Facilitate agile ceremonies and manage sprint execution.
Stay ahead of trends in data engineering, governance, and AI-first practices.
Use KPIs and OKRs to measure success and guide trade-off decisions.
What You Bring
3+ years of product management experience in technical domains like platform engineering or developer tooling.
Hands-on experience with big data technologies (Redshift, BigQuery, Hive, Kafka, Airflow, etc.).
Strong understanding of data infrastructure and consumer pain points.
Proven ability to prioritize backlogs and write clear, actionable user stories.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and tools like Jira, Rally, or Trello.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
A bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and a passion for solving complex problems.
Experience using AI tools to enhance product management and data engineering outcomes.

Qualified candidates can expect a compensation range of $112,000 to $139,000 or more depending on experience.
