About the team

The Canvas team at Goodnotes is at the heart of our core note taking experience - used and loved by millions every day. We build and maintain the foundational components that turn any device into an endless, expressive digital notebook. This includes the drawing, writing, and typing tools, the canvas interaction model, content creation and editing flows, as well as our rendering engine. We value efficiency and focus, with minimal meetings and an emphasis on getting things done. You'll work closely with our product leadership, design team, and engineers to create exceptional experiences for our users.

About the role

We're looking for a Product Manager to join our Canvas team and shape some of the most essential parts of the Goodnotes application. In this role, you’ll be responsible for defining and delivering key improvements to the canvas experience - an area central to how our users capture thoughts, create content, and express themselves.

This is the role for you if you’re excited to work on the below:

  • Own one of the key areas within our Canvas team which represents a central piece of the Goodnotes application

  • Collaborate closely with design and engineering to define product requirements and roadmaps

  • Lead product discovery through user research, feedback, and market insights

  • Drive product decisions through data and user insights

  • Contribute to the product vision and strategy and help evolve the canvas experience

  • Prioritize features and improvements to maximize user value

The skills you will need to be successful in the above::

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, ideally in a consumer-focused environment

  • Strong product management fundamentals; ability to independently own features from discovery to delivery

  • Deep understanding of UX principles with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Strong customer empathy with previous experience interacting directly with users

  • Understand how to define and measure product success

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional setting

  • Solid understanding of technical foundations

  • An introductory call with someone from our talent acquisition team. They want to hear more about your background, what you are looking for, and why you’d like to join Goodnotes

  • A role-specific call to discuss your background and skillset for this role more in detail, as well as do a live exercise

  • A call with your hiring manager. This is the person who will be managing you day to day, working on your growth and development with you, as well as support you throughout your career at Goodnotes

  • A meet-the-team call with 2 or 3 Goodpeople you’d be working closely with at Goodnotes
