About the role:

Are you a seasoned Architect passionate about designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure integrations across complex enterprise systems and modern cloud platforms? Do you thrive on solving challenging data flow and system connectivity problems at scale?

We are looking for an Integration Architect to play a crucial role in designing and evolving our internal system integration architecture at G-P. This role is key to ensuring seamless, efficient, and reliable data exchange between critical business applications and our AWS cloud-native platform. You will be instrumental in driving our integration strategy and architecture forward, impacting core business processes globally.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the design and architecture of highly scalable, secure, and robust internal integrations across critical enterprise platforms, including CRM (Salesforce), ERP (Workday), CMS platforms (Wordpress, Contentful), Data Modelling (MDM)  and other essential business applications.

  • Define and drive the overall integration strategy and target-state cloud-native architecture for internal systems, ensuring alignment with the broader company technology vision and enterprise architecture principles.

  • Design and implement architecture leveraging modern cloud integration patterns, such as serverless (e.g., AWS Lambda, Step Functions), event-driven architecture (e.g., SQS, SNS, EventBridge), API Gateways, and designing secure, scalable RESTful APIs.

  • Collaborate closely with Salesforce, Workday, and Software architects, ensuring architectural alignment and synergy between enterprise IT systems and our AWS Serverless platform.

  • Act as a key technical leader and liaison with IT Operations leadership and the CIO, participating in strategic technology discussions and influencing the direction of solutions for mission-critical enterprise systems.

  • Facilitate architecture reviews, including Well-Architected Reviews, Threat Modeling, and Integration Design Reviews, with a focus on critical business integrations and data flows.

  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for integration patterns, middleware, and shared services, promoting reuse, standardization, and operational efficiency across the organization.

  • Partner with engineering teams to deliver proof-of-concepts for key, complex integration scenarios, providing hands-on technical guidance using relevant modern technologies (e.g., Node/TypeScript, Java/Spring, or similar).

  • Define and enforce integration security standards, including data protection, IAM, API security, and key management best practices, in collaboration with security teams.

  • Evangelize integration best practices, patterns, anti-patterns, and design principles for high-performing, resilient distributed systems across engineering teams.

  • Assume ownership of key operational KPIs for integration reliability, including system uptime, data accuracy, and latency, driving continuous improvement initiatives based on metrics.

  • Collaborate with Product Management to define requirements for system integrations and analytics, ensuring traceability and integrity of data across connected platforms.

  • [Optional - Keep/Adjust this point if still relevant] Oversee integrations for various business domains, potentially including marketing technology solutions, ensuring proper data flow and governance.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience driving architectural and design decisions for large-scale, cloud-centric integration platforms.

  • Extensive experience architecting and delivering robust, secure integration solutions on AWS.

  • Deep expertise in modern integration patterns, including serverless architecture, event-driven patterns, and designing secure, scalable RESTful APIs.

  • Proven experience integrating large enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, and various CMS or similar core business systems.

  • Working knowledge of middleware solutions, message brokers, and data synchronization strategies for distributed systems.

  • Strong understanding of application security, data protection, and cloud network security principles, with practical experience designing secure integrations.

  • A strategic thinker with a systems-oriented mindset and the ability to analyze complex problems, balancing immediate needs with long-term architectural vision.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with experience engaging effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including technical teams, business leaders, and IT leadership.

  • Strong ability to quickly assess and understand new technologies and architectural patterns, particularly in the context of enterprise integration and cloud services.

  • Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and influencing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

  • A proactive advocate for developer enablement, integration consistency, and operational excellence.

  • Familiarity with integrating marketing technology (MarTech) systems or other specific enterprise application domains is a plus.

We will consider for employment all qualified applicants who meet the inherent requirements for the position. Please note that background checks are required, and this may include criminal record checks.

The annual gross base salary range for this position is $136,000 - $170,000 plus variable compensation.

We will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest records, conviction records, or other criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of any applicable state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles’ Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, and the New York City Fair Chance Act.
