Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Product, you will lead a cross-functional product team to deliver customer-centric, commercially impactful products aligned with organisational strategy.

You'll be responsible for creating a compelling Product vision, ensuring that innovative learning, technology and customer experiences are at the heart of our product evolution.  You will lead our Product estate, encompassing product management (product vision, innovation, development and lifecycle management) and are accountable for ensuring that as a function we are following governance best practices, using our product framework. 

You will collaborate across the business to ensure our products align to our organisational value proposition, our product roadmap is clear, and product launches/iterations are supported across our value chain.   

Success in this role will result in the evolution of our core products and introduction of new products. These products will have innovative learning modes and distribution channels, with frictionless user experiences. Our people will know what they own and what is expected of them. Our customers will view us an innovative business, easy to do business with, and experts in go-to-market execution.  

Qualifications

Leadership & Team Management

  • Proven experience leading and developing multidisciplinary product team.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish high-performing teams that deliver measurable value across complex environments.

  • Strong track record of coaching, mentoring, and inspiring teams through change and growth.

  • Able to create a collaborative, high-trust team culture that drives performance and innovation.

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Significant experience in defining and executing product strategy aligned to organisational objectives and customer needs.

  • Skilled in managing product development across discovery, design, delivery, and optimisation phases.

  • Experienced in backlog management, iterative delivery, and managing product dependencies at scale.

  • Brings creativity, ambition, and bold vision-setting—grounded in evidence and user need.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Excellent communicator, skilled at influencing and securing buy-in from senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Able to advocate for the role and value of the Product function within the wider organisation.

  • Confident representing the team internally and externally as a thought leader and ambassador.

Decision-Making & Problem Solving

  • Able to make effective, evidence-based decisions and explain the rationale with clarity.

  • Experienced in navigating complexity, managing risk, and unblocking teams to maintain momentum.

  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Deep understanding of agile delivery, lean practices, and iterative product development.

  • Brings an innovation mindset and familiarity with applying innovation frameworks in practice.
