Have a “seat at the table” from Day 1. Your partners and peers know what you do, greatly value it, and expect you to have strong opinions.

About the Role:
We’re seeking a highly skilled and visionary Principal Product Designer to join our Growth team and lead design for a critical 0-to-1 initiative. Rapid Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes using tools like Figma to effectively communicate design concepts and test user interactions
User Research & Validation: Conduct user research, synthesize findings, and translate insights into actionable design decisions
Strategic Vision: Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals
Design System Contribution: Contribute to and evolve HubSpot’s design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across new products
Mentorship & Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence
Navigate Ambiguity: Effectively work within a 0-1 environment, defining processes, operating systems and delivering results in the face of uncertainty
What We're Looking For:
Significant experience and impact in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your craft work. You’ve worked in ambiguous environments and thrive when you can bring clarity via your designs.
Experience designing for AI technologies and design paradigms
Experience and a passion for building high-fidelity prototypes and interaction design.
Proven ability to lead design for 0-1 initiatives or early-stage products.
Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
Strong understanding of user research methodologies and the ability to translate research into design decisions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts and rationale.
Experience working in a fast-paced ambiguous environment.
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Framer, Adobe Creative Suite).
Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate collaboration with engineers
Fluency in applying modern web and mobile design patterns to designs
Must be located in the Eastern or Central Time Zone of the United States.
