About the team and the role: 

The Performance Marketing Specialist will focus on customer acquisition and retention through performance marketing channels, with an emphasis on search engine marketing (SEM) in both the US and global markets. Key responsibilities include running TCGplayer’s performance marketing budgets efficiently and tracking critical metrics to meet revenue targets. The role involves developing and implementing marketing campaigns to acquire and nurture TCGplayer customers, leading all aspects of campaign development, execution, and reporting. Success in this position means growing TCGplayer revenue while optimizing return on ad spend (ROAS).

As part of the buyer marketing team, this role will report to the Marketing Manager for Hobbyist Growth, and will contribute to growing and retaining customers, support new vertical launches, and collaborate closely with partners and leadership to implement successful go-to-market campaigns.

The Marketing Department promotes TCGplayer as a brand and drives sales of our products and services. The department is responsible for the long-term planning, strategy, and direction of creative and digital campaigns and projects across multiple channels (internal and external) supporting company strategic priorities and goals. Marketing serves as brand stewards by implementing and evolving content voice and visual brand standards across the company. What you will accomplish: 

  • Develop, implement and run paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Meta and various platforms

  • Run budgets effectively to enhance return on investment and achieve desired outcomes

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimization

  • Build and monitor reports on campaign performance and present findings to partners and leadership

  • Conduct campaign testing to find opportunities for improvement and enhance ad performance

  • Collaborate across teams to align performance marketing strategies with overall goals and go to market initiatives

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure campaigns are competitive and efficient

 

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field or proven experience

  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in Ecommerce, with a consistent track record of leading successful performance marketing campaigns

  • Proficiency in Google Ads (Shopping, Pmax, Display) and Google Merchant Center 

  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Sheets, Excel and other marketing analytic tools

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with great attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • A standout colleague with a positive attitude, who is motivated by challenges and working with people across teams

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$60,000 - $101,500

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
