What you will own (Role and responsibilities):
Reporting to the Performance Marketing & Market Launcher Director
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of performance marketing professionals (including Manager and Senior Manager levels), setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and fostering career growth.
Cultivate a culture of high performance, accountability, continuous learning, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration within the performance marketing team.
Ensure the team has the resources, tools, and support needed to achieve their goals.
Strategic Performance Marketing Leadership:
Define, own, and champion the overall performance marketing strategy across all paid channels, ensuring tight alignment with overarching business objectives, target audiences, and new customer goals.
Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of all paid media campaigns managed by the team, providing strategic guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Drive innovation in channel mix, targeting strategies, bidding algorithms, creative testing methodologies, and measurement approaches.
Stay at the forefront of the digital marketing landscape, proactively identifying and evaluating new platforms, partners, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
App Growth Strategy Oversight:
Provide strategic direction and oversight for all paid app marketing initiatives, ensuring strategies effectively contribute to overall app growth and business goals.
Ensure strong alignment between paid acquisition efforts and broader product, and engagement strategies.
Performance Analysis, Reporting & Forecasting Leadership:
Work hand in hand with the data team on the overarching measurement framework for performance marketing, ensuring robust tracking, accurate attribution, and insightful incrementality reporting across all channels.
Oversee the delivery of performance analysis, ensuring the team provides deep-dive insights, identifies trends, and makes strategic recommendations.
Accountable for performance forecasting, budget pacing commentary, and communicating results, insights, and strategic plans, or support the team to do this effectively
Budget & Financial Oversight:
Hold full accountability for the total performance marketing budget, including planning, allocation across channels and initiatives, forecasting, and pacing management.
Ensure rigorous ROI analysis and reporting across all investments, providing clear justification for budget allocation and strategic shifts.
Work closely with Finance partners on budget management and reporting.
Senior Stakeholder Management & Cross-functional Alignment:
Act as the primary performance marketing point person for senior leadership and key cross-functional partners (e.g., Product, Data Science, Creative, MarTech, Finance).
Build strong, collaborative relationships across the organisation, driving strategic alignment and ensuring performance marketing plans are integrated with broader business initiatives.
Effectively represent the team's strategy, performance, and needs
What you bring to the table:
Minimum 6-7+ years of experience in performance marketing, with a clear progression of responsibility, preferably within an agency, the financial/fintech sector, or a high-growth B2C App sector.
Proven experience (minimum 2+ years) managing and developing digital marketing professionals or teams.
Deep strategic understanding and demonstrable success overseeing large-scale campaigns across core performance channels like Paid Social (Meta, etc.) and Google Ads (Search, UAC, Display, YouTube).
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex data and modelling outputs (e.g., attribution, incrementality testing) into actionable digital strategy.
Strong proficiency with core analytics and advertising platforms; strategic understanding of the marketing technology landscape (e.g., MMPs, automation tools).
Proven ability to manage significant marketing budgets effectively and demonstrate strong ROI.
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
